Octuplets’ Family Home a Mess, Mom on Welfare
California mother of 14 is in the hospital, her family home is a total wreck and, despite confirmation that she is on welfare, she claims that she isn’t…through her publicist.
The media are going nuts over the recent news that Nadya Suleman, already a mother of six, recently gave birth on January 26 to octuplets (that’s 14 children in all, folks). Now, the news has turned a bit more negative – and for good reason. While many already questioned the sanity of the woman because of her seeming desire to raise 14 children - not that there’s really anything wrong with that – there is definitely a legitimate uproar focusing on her ability to raise those children. The new mom is currently in the hospital while her mother, Angela Suleman, is caring for her children, but grandmom had some choice words for her daughter. "She already has six beautiful children, why would she do this? I’m struggling to look after her six. We had to put in bunk beds, feed them in shifts and there’s children’s clothing piled all over the house."
Reporters who have seen the house referred to it as "filthy," essentially passing judgment on Nadya Suleman’s ability to raise her children. Suleman’s publicist, Mike Furtney, claims that since his client has been away from the house for nearly two months, she certainly cannot be held accountable for its condition. First, let’s take a step back. This woman has a publicist. OK, now let’s have that sink in a bit….Good….Now that we’re aware that we’ve entered the world of the surreal, here’s where the REAL twist comes into play.
Seems that Nadya is, in fact, entirely incapable of caring for her initial six children and that the care of the "new 8" will be, at least partly, the responsibility of the U.S. taxpayers. That’s right, Nadya is on "the welfare." Asked about this in the past, Suleman claimed that she was not, in fact, on welfare. When it was disclosed that she was actually receiving $490 per month in food stamps, and that three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal assistance, that crazy publicist stepped in and said (get this): "In her view, these are just payments made for people with legitimate needs and are not, in her view, welfare. She just believes that there are programs for people with needs and she and her children qualify for some of them." Sweet…so, to sum up. Nadya Suleman is a fertile idiot. She has a publicist, which is ridiculous. Her publicist is also an idiot, which means that, should she decide to do so, she could have a career as a publicist when she gets out of the hospital. Yup…that just about sums it up.
