October
This is a poem that I wrote for a person who is so dear to me and who means the world to me, if not more. It's a poem about unrequited love. It's a sad poem, a very heartfelt one involving tears and sorrow. But as they say, unrequited love is the greatest creator of art.
It’s October, a year has passed,
A year so slow, yet a year so fast.
It’s October, it’s when we met,
I saw your eyes, and my heart was set.
It’s October, how could it be?
A year has gone, yet you’re not with me.
It’s October, God tell me why,
He’s still not mine, no matter how I try.
I spend my nights drowning in tears,
My heart, it aches, so filled with fear.
A year has gone, oh how I knew,
The sheer impossibility of being with you.
