  • Rolled Oats, 1½ cup
  • Milk, 2 cups
  • Whole Wheat Flour, ½ cup
  • All-Purpose Flour, ½ cup
  • Baking Powder, 1 tablespoon
  • Brown Sugar, 1 tablespoon
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon Powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Extract, 1½ teaspoon
  • Eggs (beaten), 2
  • Butter (melted), ¼ cup
Method
  • In a large bowl mix oats and milk and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes.
  • Stir all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together in a different bowl.
  • To the oats, add beaten eggs, melted butter and the dry ingredients.
  • To make one pancake, you will require ¼ cup of the pancake batter. Make the pancake on medium high heat either on a grill or frying pan.
  • Once the pancakes are ready, you can serve them with applesauce or maple sauce.

If you want to have pancakes for breakfast on a Sunday morning and want to use this recipe, you will have to plan a little in advance. This recipe requires oatmeal to be soaked in buttermilk overnight. Now let's see the ingredients required for this recipe as well as the method to make it.

Ingredients
  • Oats, 2 cups
  • Buttermilk, 3 cups
  • Eggs (beaten), 3
  • Flour, ½ cup
  • Baking Powder, 1½ teaspoon
  • Peanut Oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Butter or Vegetable Oil for the griddle
  • Salt, a pinch
Method
  • Soak oats in buttermilk overnight.
  • The next day in the morning, mix well beaten eggs, flour, baking powder, salt and peanut oil.
  • Heat a griddle or a frying pan and brush it with oil or butter.
  • Ladle the pancake batter on the griddle or pan and make pancake of the desired size.
  • When you see air bubbles on the surface at the center, use a flat spatula to flip the pancake over. Cook it on the other side as well. It should be cooked to a golden brown color.

  • Oatmeal, ¾ cup
  • Oatmeal Flour, ¾ cup
  • Baking Powder, 1 teaspoon
  • Salt, ¼ teaspoon
  • Egg Whites, 4
  • Cinnamon Powder, ½ teaspoon
Method
  • If you are vegan, you can use water in place of milk. The remaining recipe remains the same.
  • Heat milk till the milk is hot. Add oats to the milk and keep aside.
  • Beat the egg whites with a hand blender or blender till stiff foam is formed.
  • Stir the remaining ingredients into the oat and milk mixture.
  • Now add the eggs to the oat and milk mixture and stir, till the egg white is well blended with the oats and milk.
  • Brush the pancake pan with butter before making pancakes. Cook till both the sides are brown in color.
