Notice to Vacate Letter

The notice to vacate letter can be written either by the landlord to the tenant and by the tenant to the landlord. Here are eviction letter samples of both.
One can interpret the notice to vacate in two ways. Most often it is a letter written by the landlord to a tenant who is either reaching the end of the lease or falling foul of the landlord. Tenants who do not pay the rent for occupying the rental property, cause trouble to the neighbors and fail to adhere to the rules of tenancy are generally served the notice to vacate within 30 days. On the contrary, the notice to vacate is given by the tenant to the landlord that he intends to vacate the land and that the landlord may search for a new tenant. Notice to vacate is a good, trouble-free way of getting out of a tenancy contract. A notice to vacate is generally a 30 day notice and is a beneficial mechanism for the recipients in both the above mentioned cases. When given by the landlord, the tenant is given 30 days to find himself a suitable new home while he continues to occupy the land till the given date. When given by the tenant, the landlord is given enough time to find a new tenant once the old tenant has vacated. In the former case, the tenant is not rendered homeless, while in the latter case, the landlord does not lose a month's worth of rent. Whichever side of the coin you may be on, the eviction letter presents a beneficial situation to you.

More so in cases where a troublesome tenant refuses to budge. The notice to vacate is a mandatory bit of documentation, should the landlord wish to start court proceedings for eviction of the tenant. Apart from the fact that the eviction notice to either the landlord or the tenant is a great way of announcing the end of the lease, it is also has substantial importance as a legal document which proves the intention to end a contract of lease by either party. Hence, if you write the notice to vacate letter, make sure you make multiple copies of the same and keep them properly filed.
