Nothing To Do

Sitting at my desk on a summers night
Bemoaning my fate and cursing my plight
Searching for a hint and looking for a clue
For there is absolutely nothing to do!

Yes you heard me right the first time
I have been sitting here for many a chime
And yes it may be surprising to you
But there is absolutely nothing to do!

I've looked thru my desk now three times two
Searching and hunting for a report that's due
But 'tis alarming and distressingly true
That there is absolutely nothing to do!

So I'm sitting here though it's well past eight
Just looking around and cursing my fate
And I never thought that I'd ever be blue
Just coz there's absolutely nothing to do!

It's now well past eight and going on nine
And I just cannot wait for another chime
I must simply find another venue
Than sit at my desk with nothing to do!

So if you have any suggestions for me
I'd be more than happy for them to see
Anything to bid this boredom adieu
Anything's better than nothing to do!
