Nothing Last Forever - Chapter 5

Lily is being sent to somewhere far away. Her mother made a final decision to send her to her Aunt Alma who is very rich and who could apparently give Lily everything and put her to a nice school. Leave comment please! Thank you.
This entire situation is very hectic. Mama should be home any minute, but while she isn’t I have to think through about what I am going to do. The wound on my arms is starting to sting, but I can’t think about myself right now. I am at the point where I have to tell mama about all this. As of now, I know she can’t do anything about this. I heard mama’s voice outside. She’s probably talking to the neighbor again. I came out and it was her, she seems happy and excited. I don’t understand, the neighbor should have already have said something about what happened earlier today. Someone should have already told my mama about what ruckus that went on today.

"Mama!" I called.
"Oh I have something to tell you, and where is Lily?" It really didn’t seem like good news to me.
"I do too.. She’s inside." I looked down.
"Oh come on, if its something about school you know I can’t give you any money for that. You were the one who wanted to go to school." She looked at me.
"It’s not about that.." She interrupted me.
"I am sending Lily to her Aunt." She just blurted it out.
"What?! No!?" I was complete numb, I can’t believe she just said that.
"Hey, Mare! Kamusta na?" One of the neighbor interrupted.
"Just tell Lily that okay? I’ll take her in the morning. Please do me a favor, and help her pack her bag?" Then she left.
"No!!" I cried.

I couldn’t believe she said that, and most importantly I can’t believe she is doing that. No, Lily is staying with me. She doesn’t even know Lily’s situation. I went in the house, sat next to where Lily was sleeping. I cried, and finally lie down next to her. I wrapped my arms around her. I said to myself over and over again, that nobody can take her away from me ever. I just cried until I fell asleep.
I woke up, Mama was just rushing and I saw her shoving Lily’s clothes in a small bag. She really didn’t seem like she cared about Lily at all.

"Mama, no!!" I tried stopping her.
"Will you just stop acting like a baby!" She pushed me away.
"Lily is really sick!" I cried.
"Then her Aunt Alma can take her to the doctor, she’s rich she can give Lily anything. She’ll be able to put her to school too. This is for Lily’s own good, and you should be happy for her." She explained.
"No!! Please." I just wasn’t sure I can do anything.
"I'm sure someday you’ll see her again, and you will thank me" She smiled.
"There is no reason for you to send her anywhere. Please, let her stay" I begged some more.

"I owed a huge amount of money to your Aunt Alma just recently. She want me to take one of you to her to help out in her mansion, so I decided to send Lily there. Just stop your wining!" She finally finished packing.
"Just let me pay for it. Please, I’ll get a job and work really hard. Just don’t send Lily!" I really don’t understand.
"No, I made my decision and Lily is going." She looked at me.
"Lily!" I wrapped Lily around my arms, and promised to not let her go. I don’t want anybody to take her. No!!!
