Not So Fast USA Presidential Candidates

Former TV investigative reporter finds potential USA 2008 voters are thinking with more consideration and sound bytes and pretty faces don't cut it.
As you may be aware we are running a new site at Where Voters Gather for the USA 2008 Presidential campaign. This information and the polling results will be passed on to the media as it is developed.

What we are noting at the comments on the polling is that people are not rushing to endorse a candidate like they might have done in the past. They are saying to the candidates: "Not so fast. We want to hear and see a great deal more about what you will be promising to do if elected. So far your first debates have been just sound byte driven appearances. You have too really do better than this."

One respondent at the forum said that for the first time he was going to vote for the person not the party. Also interestingly enough this might NOT be one of the leading candidates. This might be a relative unknown like Congressman Ron Paul who is so far leading our current poll with 38% of the vote among over 20 candidates.

Another respondent said that if he/she was not satisfied with either Republican or Democratic candidate then he/she would consider a write-in one.

So Presidential Candidate you have your work cut out for you!
