They tell me we’re meant to be,
Made for each other,
Soul-mates even.
But I know better.
You’re just there,
I don’t love you more than my brother,
More than a friend.

I know I’m meant for someone else.
Someone who will make my heart race,
Make me think of nothing but him,
Someone who’ll understand me,
Domeone who’ll hug me
Never let me down,
Never let me go...

But I’m not naive,
I know that’s impossible,
It’s impossible to find someone perfect.
So I’ll have to settle for second best...

I do not want to believe the lies around me,
