Not Known Yet Ch.6 - Part 1
I'M SORRY. This is a picture of Draegan, just picture this dude with black hair and a little bit paler. :) Okay, I know it's been a long time. Truthfully, I kind of forgot about it. But that's only because of derby and everything. This is really short and I know that. I know where this story is going, it's just taking me a while to get there. SORRY.

"As sure as this is tea." Vlad lifted his cup to show me the liquid inside was in fact tea.
"Then what the hell was that thump." I hissed at him.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that she went to bed as soon as she got home. Whatever you did to her, you tired her out. I even went up there to check on her and she was out like a light. And still fully clothed too." Vladimir shook his head, "I don't know how you do it."
Ignoring his comment, I stood up and headed for the stairs. "I'll go check it out." and before he could answer I was in her room, looking down on her.
She was on her side, faceing the wall. The blanket was falling off her onto the floor, just like a couple of books and her backpack. The books were lying facedown with the pages getting bent at weird angles, her backpack was up-side-down and open, spilling everything inside of it out. That must have been the thump.
I pick the blanket up and a scent hits me, pomegranates and then something else that I can't quite put, something so unique there is no name for it. It's the scent of Lolita. I gently put the blanket on her and leave the room as fast as I can. Nothing good will come if I stay in that room any longer than I have to.
I'm instantly back in my seat in the living room with Vladimir.
"Is something wrong Silas? You seem kind of tence."
If you almost jumped into bed with the person you're supposed to protect, you'd be acting exactly the same way. I thought angrily at him. "No, nothing's wrong."
He looked at me as if he knew I was lying to him. "Did you find out what that thump was in her room?"
"Yeah, I did." grateful for the change of subject. "It was her backpack, it fell off her bed and onto the floor along with a couple of books."
"Oh," Vlad takes a sip of his tea. "That happens often with her, she's not really organized."
I let a small smile slip out, "I would have never guessed, she seemed so ready for me when I came after her, she had a plan and everything. Well, except at the end. She had nowhere to go except a tree right next to her. I would have gotten her in a second if I hadn't back off and pretended to go the other way."
"Well, she does have her moments."
I laughed lightly. "We all do Vlad." I stand up and start to walk towards the door. "I'm out a here, but I'll be back soon. You can count on that." I open the door, "Tomorrow's Sunday, right?"
"Yes, correct."
"Good, then I still have time to get ready for my first day of high school." I say with a fake excitement. "'Night Valdimir."
"Goodnight Silas."
I close the door and walk to my car slowly, then I drive to my small condo on the other side of town.
I unlock the front door with my keys and than lock it from the inside. I walk over to my bedroom, strip from my clothing and take a hot shower, hoping to clear my mind.
The shower was quick and in no time at all I'm in my boxers and in my bed, with my head full of Lolita. I close my eyes and I see her face when she was sleeping, looking so innocent and more beautiful than ever.
Damnit, Monday's going to be hell.
Lolita's P.O.V.
I awoke to darkness.
I sit up in bed and look at the time, it's around five in the morning. My curtains are closed and my lights are off. It's pitched black except for the alarm clock on my side table.
I stand up and stretch and walk downstairs, hoping to get something to eat. I walk into the kitchen to find it totally deserted. Usually when I wake up, Uncles up before me. Ever since I was little he's done that. I listen closely for a sound, any sound at all, but there is non. Well, it is Sunday. He's probably out doing something. But what?
I try to shake it off by getting some cheerios and sitting down at the dining table. But it didn't really work, I took as long as possible and still nothing a happened. Where the hell is Uncle?
I finish my cereal and put the bowl in the sink. As soon as I hear the sound of the glass bowl hitting the metal sink I hear the door open.
"Uncle?" I call. "Is that you?" I move through the dining room and living room to the doorway, where Uncle is taking off his coat and hat. "Where were you?"
"Oh, good morning Lolita. I have a friend in town, and he asked me if I could come over this morning to talk." at first I thought he was lying, the sincerity in his voice told me otherwise.
"You have a friend in town? Do I get to meet him?"
"No, I'm sorry Hon', but he's leaving this morning, that's why I went over so early, he wanted to see me before he left town."
"Oh, okay."
"Do you have any homework you need to finish?" asked Uncle, trying to change the subject.
"Um . . ." I think it through and something pops into my head. "Oh no! I forgot that I have a paper due tomorrow in English." I say as I run as fast as I can to my room and grab my backpack, I run downstairs and into the computer room.
I turn on the computer but instead of going to Microsoft Word I go to the internet. So I lied, I didn't really have any homework that needed to be finished right this moment. But, Uncle never lets me on just for fun, I usually only do it when he's not home. Which, by the way, isn't often.
As I do random things on the computer I hear Uncle moving things and then I hear noises like buttons being pressed on the phone. I can hear him talk, but it's muffled. Then his voice stops and all I hear is his feet leaving the living room and farther down the house, probably to his room.
By the time I had finished on the computer, Uncle was I the kitchen, looking into the fridge. It sounded like he was moving things around. "Uncle?" I asked.
"Hmm?"
"What are you doing exactly?"
"I'm reorganizing the fridge, it seemed kind of messy to me."
"Oh." Uncle seems kind of out of it today. I noted. "Um, I'm going to hang out at home today, okay?"
"Hmm?" Uncle looks up at me, "Oh, yes of course that's okay."
"Alright." I walk up my stairs, more confused then ever.
* * *
Monday.
My least favorite day of the week.
Groaning, I hit the off button on my alarm clock and stretch. I don't know why school has to be so early in the morning. I don't like it, I don't think anyone does. So what's the point?
I slowly make my way to the bathroom across the hall and I take a quick shower, hoping to take the frizz out of my hair. When I'm finished I practically run to me room to get my warm clothes on.
By the time I'm downstairs with everything ready the sun was rising and it was light out. "Bye Uncle," I call to him as I walk pass him. He's reading the paper from yesterday, either again or because he forgot about it, which isn't the first time.
"Goodbye, have a good day at school." he said in a cheerful voice that sounded way to happy for Uncle. But I leave the house anyway.
Since Uncle won't buy me a car, I have to walk to school, which I think is extremely unfair. But, it's not that far of a walk to school, and it's pretty in the morning. If I had a car, I would probably miss it. The grass is shiny in the morning light and the sky is turning from the darkness of the night to the brightness of the day. The morning is always the perfect mixture of it. And it's extremely quiet, no one sane is awake this early in the morning.
I'm at school in no time at all, and there's almost no one here yet. I always come to school early for the peace and quiet of the place when no one else is here. But, as I sat in the warm rays of the sun, people started gathering around. Faster than I would've liked, the school grounds were cover with students and it became obnoxiously loud.
Like most Mondays, the morning passed by quickly until lunch, then it seemed to drag on and on. By the last period of the day, which today was Art, I was wiped. It's a good thing it was a 'hands-on' kind of thing today, or I wouldn't be able to make it today.
I walk into the class room and it's mostly empty, like most day. I'm usually one of the first people to class when it comes to art. As I get everything ready for the project, more students walk in.
By the time I have everything ready, almost everyone was in class. I started to work on my sketch again and I heard the seat next to me screech as it slid on the floor and then it speak a little in protect as the person sat on it. I froze in mid-swipe as I heard this. Matt isn't here today, I know that as I fact, and no one ever sits next to me. Ever.
I look up and almost drop my pencil, it was the guy from the book store. He was even hotter up close, and when he saw me looking at him and he smiled, I could feel a light blush creeping into my cheeks. What the hell Lita? I quickly looked away and continued my sketch.
Then I hear Mr. Kenyon doing roll. All the usual names of everyone in class till we got to the D's. "Silas Dalca."
Silas Dalca. What a strange name . . . why is it so familiar?
The rest of the names were called, including mine, and everyone got the work. Mr. Kenyon came up to our table in front of Silas. "Ah, okay. Lita, since Silas here is only a day behind, I was wondering if you would show him what to do." Mr. Kenyon looked at me, waiting for an answer. Like I could deny my teacher, yeah right.
With a defeated sigh I answered. "Okay Mr. Kenyon. I'll help him."
"Alrighty, good." and with that Mr. Kenyon turned and went over to another student that needed his help.
Without another word I continued on me sketch. I was planning on ignoring the new kid, but it was kinda hard when I could feel his eyes on me, and even harder when he started to tap my shoulder. "What?" I asked irritably.
He looked a little surprised by my tone. "Um, aren't you going to help me?" he asked in a innocent voice. His voice was deep and husky, it was hot, and totally fit him.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I guess I have to, huh?"
He gave an easy smile and nodded slightly.
As I explained what we're supposed to do his eyes never left my face. It was kind of distracting, I almost tripped over my words.
By the time I finished telling him and showed how to do everything that was important, class was almost over.
