Maybe there are people in your family that would prefer a basket filled with non-food items. Not everyone wants to fill up on chocolate, especially if they are watching their waste-line in preparation for the coming summer days. Consider items such as garden tools and seeds to remind the recipient that spring is right around the corner. Perhaps they like books or magazines. There is no reason why an Easter basket can not include these items. Consider some of the things the recipient likes, or upcoming plans they have, and incorporate these things into the basket.

The last thing you want to do is create a basket that appears to be made more for you than for the recipient. Perhaps you could make a list of things you would want in your basket, and then decide not to include any of them in the Easter basket you are giving. Also take into consideration the likes and dislikes of the recipients. People will appreciate custom baskets more than those they know could have been made for anyone.

Easter is a great time to design spectacular gift baskets to share with your friends and family. If everyone is expecting a certain type of basket, try to surprise them with someone they would not think of on their own. Keep in mind, you can still add in special touches of traditional items, but consider how fun it would be to surprise someone with a non-traditional basket for the religious holiday.
