Many a times it happens that people love to have pet dogs but they avoid adopting one due to the mess caused by shedding of dog hair at home. Some pet owners are allergic and need a dog that is hypoallergenic. Actually there are no dogs that don't shed at all. Every dog sheds hair to some extent. Non shedding dog breeds are dogs that shed less as compared to other dog breeds. The dog has a soft inner coat and a bushy outer coat. Grooming a Cairn terrier includes brushing it several times in a week and trimming of the hair at least twice in a year. Cairn terriers are active and make good pets for a family with young and elderly members.

Poodles are the most popular non shedding dog breeds. There are three types of poodles, Toy Poodle, Miniature Poodle and Standard Poodle. All of them shed very less hair and are ideal for pet owners who are allergic to dog hair. These dogs are sturdy, have a well built body and have attractive features. Their hair coat is curly and dense. Poodles require regular brushing to avoid matting and bathing after every few weeks. Poodles are known for their affection and intelligence. They connect themselves with every family member and hence make a good pet for a family.

Choose any of the above listed non shedding dog breeds. But remember, there is no such breed of dog that doesn't shed any hair at all.
