Nokia 6760 Slide Unleash the Messaging Power House with a Slide

The Nokia 6760 Slide comes as the latest mailing and messaging solution from Nokia, fully loaded with a QWERTY keypad and dedicated messaging key. Up to 10 email accounts from popular service providers can be made mobile with this phone along with Push email with the Nokia email service. This phone also supports Instant Messaging services that allows one to stay connected with friends through a medium similar to internet chatting.

The 6760 comes in a side sliding design with a full QWERTY keypad and is presently available in three colours -Black, Red and White. The display of this device is a 2.4 inches TFT screen of 16M colours and it employs Active Matrix technology. The built-in accelerometer sensor facilitates automatic portrait and landscape orientation while there is also an ambient light sensor that assists in adjusting the brightness of the screen according to the available light. While it's internal memory is 128 MB which can be expanded up to 8GB, this device runs on a Symbian S60 operating system. Apart from the S60 menu key and the Message key, the phone also sports a dedicated internet key which launches the WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML web browser. It's also loaded with Class A GPRS and a Class B EDGE and allows high speed HSDPA at 3.6Mbps for fast data access and download. This phone also conveniently doubles up as a data modem that can be connected to a PC or laptop.

Essentially the Nokia 6760 Slide is a quad-band GSM phone which also supports dual-band 3G service. Lately Nokia has been very keen on developing recyclable technology and integrating them in their products to minimize environmental pollution and hazard. This phone comes with a high efficiency charger and the entire handset has been made from PVC-free material. The whole device is upto 80 % recyclable and the packaging is 100% recyclable. Nokia also provide Eco Declaration on this handset, which they have been doing for every product since 200. The Eco Declaration provides basic information on the environmental attributes of the product.

With this phone one can have a conference call with up to 6 participants. It also allows voice command/ dialing and speed dialing along with 'any key answer' and automatic redial.
