Mandy- Your Worrying to much Gabby ok? So you had a one night stand it's all right. And so what if it was with the hottest guy in school? She laughs. Mandy finds it extremely funny that I had sex with Gavin Portelli-the hottest, most popular, so would never like me guy at our school. It happened last Friday there was a big party that Mandy pulled me along and someone spiked the punch I got drunk and was carried-I am talking wedding style-to a bedroom and the next morning I wake up freaking out! I was at least in Mandy's sisters house-Mandy had keys and her sister was out of town. I look over and see Gavin and his hot self lying there looking at me and I said, " Oh crap! I am so sorry!!" I get up grabbing my clothes so damn embarrassed about being naked right in front of him.

Its Monday the starting of a long week... Everywhere I went it seemed Gavin was there with his posse I never really noticed them but now every time I walk by it seems like their watching me. When I pass and look back I see them grinning and look at Gavin like he was the biggest man there.. Was that good? I went home that afternoon and I went to the bathroom and noticed the pad I put in this morning was completely dry nothing at all I was supposed to start today or yesterday and it wasn't yesterday and it wasn't today... Oh well I must have miss counted I think to myself. I eat dinner and go to bed after homework.
I wake up the next morning to find nothing still.. I start to panic a little. At school everything's normal except I go to the bathroom way more frequently to check and there is nothing I check my planner and find that I didn't miss count it was supposed to be Sunday or Monday but it wasn't and now its now Tuesday. Three days later and still nothing so in 7th hour P.E. I tell Mandy. Mandy- Ok? This is most probably serious. Ok. Today after school we go to the drug store straight from school then go straight home I'll drive we can get someone else to take your car home alright? I might be a godmother!!
Gabby- I seriously hope I am just late!
So that's what we did when we got to her sisters house we didn't want to do it at either of our houses in case of parents. I take four test just to be sure. And then we waited we got the 3 minute ones but it felt like 3 years till it was done but when they were we check them from the time I did them first one + positive second + positive third + positive fourth + positive! Gabby- Oh Crap I am PREGNANT!! Mandy- You gotta tell Gavin.
Gabby- Hell no, he can never know!
Mandy-I think he'll know when u start to inflate like a balloon and he recently had sex with you!!
Gabby- Your right I will tell him Monday.

When we pulled up I almost black out there is no way he is gonna believe me and if he does he isn't gonna want to be part of the baby's life and he won't want anyone to know it was his. He let us in no questions asked. We sit down in the living room and Mandy leaves saying she has to tell her mom where she has been. So that leaves me and Mr. Perfection. I freeze. I had the pregnancy tests in my hand. I try to joke about all this I hold them out.

Gabby- I just wanted you to know that I am pregnant and that I won't tell any one that its yours alright? I just thought you had the right to know. I get up to leave he grabs my arm.
Gavin- What the hell!?! Where are you going? We have to tell my parents and your parents and figure out how we are gonna do this. I have a job but it doesn't pay a whole lot..

Gavin- Well yea if the kid is a boy then he is gonna need a father figure and if it's a girl she is gonna need someone to protect her from all the bad guys out there.
Mandy- So you want to be in the kids life but what about at school?
Gavin- I am not letting you out of my sight if I can help it. And if any of my guys are in your classes they are gonna make sure everything is ok? I can't let you get in any trouble. And people need to know who got you pregnant. Plus they won't mess with you if they know you mine sweetheart.

Gavin- I thought we had been dating since Friday? I thought that night tied that deal?
Mandy- I don't know if I wanna be in a relationship with someone who is just with me because we have a kid.

I get dressed and think of all the maternity clothes I'll have to get and diapers and a crib and toys and clothes for the baby and the hospital bills is gonna cost all this money that I don't have. I put on some perfume and then tell my parents I am leaving. I sit in the car at a red light and think about how we are gonna do this I mean I never even met his parents the first time I went to his house was the day before. What will his parents think of me? What if they don't approve? Well I doubt either of our parents will approve but will they accept it? I start thinking about what gavin said as I left. He loved me? I mean I know what he said about the girls was true I have heard them talk about it.
He even said it again when we got off the phone last night. I was so close to saying back but it got caught in my throat. I liked him I mean who doesn't, but not the reason everyone else did I liked him because he is smart- I should know I am in most of his classes- and funny and cute and perfect. I would just be walking down the hall arms full come to a door and see a guy pass by and run through the door and just not even help me but Gavin even though we were both late and he had papers to deliver stopped and opened the door for me and asked if I needed help with my books. I just shook my head no. I pull up to his house and he is waiting outside for me. I get out and he comes up and hugs me and kissed me on the forehead and outs his hand on my stomach and just smiles. I smile at him and give him a kiss on the cheek before I even know what happened. His smile just gets bigger. Then his parents come outside. I just freeze and look to Gavin for help. I giggle. We get to the living room and we sit down. Gavin takes it from there. Gavin- This is Gabby she is my girlfriend. Mom Dad we have something to tell you. The other night at that party someone brought alcohol and put it in the punch. So pretty much everyone there was drunk. Including us. Y'all Gabby is pregnant.

Mrs. Portelli- Well then. How are you planning to support her Leo?

Gavin- That's my middle name actually is Leonardo.
I giggle a little bit in spite of the situation.

Gavin- I have my job. I know it won't be enough. But I can take one more hours. And gabby has her job.
Gabby- Yes ma'am I am a secretary at my father's company I make 7.50 an hour.
Mrs. Portelli- How many hours do you work each day?
Gabby- On a good day I work 4 hours after school. And on weekends I work 6 hours days from 6 am to noon.
Mrs. Portelli- so that is a weekly profit of $250. That is not bad at all sweetheart.
Gavin- Mom is a math genius and likes to show it.
I smile.
Mrs. Portelli- what do you think Leo?
I blush bad I just made fun of that name and its his dads!! Gavin squeezes my hand a bit I look at him and he smiles.
Mr. Portelli- I think if they are responsible they can do this we can help sometimes but we will need help from her parents too.

We get in his truck and head out to do one of the worst things a teenager has to do. I look at him the curve of his jaw the striking green in his eyes. He catches me staring and laughs.

Getting pregnant at this age do you know how hard it is to get through high school when your pregnant and still go to college you can give up your dream of going to Harvard or Yale or any other big college because you have a kid and you will have to be home with them!!
Gabby- I know dad but please we are gonna do this ok I make 250.00 a week and Gavin has a job we'll be able to make it ok? If you won't be supportive I will just leave I'll go live with Mandy she lives right next door to Gavin and I know you not happy but you just accept the facts and move on?!
Gavin- Sir...if you are gonna kick her out or if she ever needs any help or anything if you want her to live with someone else when the baby is born she is always welcome to live with me at my family's house I am an only child so there won't be any little kids running around we have a nice backyard and my parents just found out too and they have accepted it can you please I know this was a mistake and we can never take it back but please sir help us make it a good mistake.
