No Lovers on 25th Avenue! (14)

I partly edited it...but I thinks its good. =) Rats, this story went by fast. Now I have to think up another one before the finaly chapter of this one.
Chapter 14 - Normal

Every thing went back to…okay…nothing went back to normal! From constant nightmares, trials, studying and leg therapies, I haven’t one free time just to be…well you know…normal! But life isn’t that easy. My mother has been treating me like a piece of expensive dishes. No one can touch me or see me. Okay so maybe that is just being drastic. I mean at school people treat me like I am some legend, like being kidnapped and lied to over and over again is cool. They don’t seem understand the hurt I put myself and so many people through. And I still don’t know why he took me away. I tried to talk him but he will just glare at me and it scares me. Did I love him at all?

"No you didn’t." Victor whispered standing by door. Did I say that out loud? "You never did. You never did!"

"Vic, relax." I hugged him tightly as he sobbed against me. I don’t think he will ever be the same for me anymore. "I love you, you know that right?"

"Yeah." I pressed my lips against his.

"Things are suppose to get normal but life isn’t like that." I dry his face and kiss him again. "Because it will. I promise."

"Yeah…I hope so." Victor shrugged and I kissed him again and again all over his sweet face making him giggle and turn red.

"We are going to be taking a trip to the Gardens of Suns." Ms. Wolff was pacing the floor with her ugly high heels again. I just wanted to rip them off her damn feet. My feet weren’t touching the floor. One was on my chair and the other touch swinging above the floor. I am sitting on my big textbook and my notebook.

Miranda, the only girl I know that has got it far with her boyfriend, raised her hand in a shot. I eyed her and knew she was going to do me a favor. She always does with her dumb questions.

"It’s middle of December!" Miranda whined. "Remember last year, when our fingers went numb and you gave us all a failing grade and one week of detention for not finishing the worksheets. I am not getting into that again."

"Not like she is pasting anyway." I muffled into my desk.

"Excuse you!" Miranda clearly heard me. "I am not someone who-"

"Shut up! You know nothing about what she has been through!" Victor yelled at her from his seat. "Just shut the hell up and suck it up!"

"Thank you, Victor. Finally you do something that I approve of." Ms. Wolff threw a detention slip at Miranda and continued to the teach lesson. I stuck my tongue at Miranda and blew kiss at Victor.
………………………………....................................
"That was priceless." Victor laughed as we walked out the school building. "Girl had it coming, anyway. I am surprised we didn’t get detention."

"Let’s leave quickly before she changes her mind!" I laughed tagging him and running through the snow.

"I always win!" Victor shouted as he ran past me.

I wasn’t really just little jumps over the snow making it look I was running. My ankle needs a few days to get use fresh air and running around. But of course, I let him win. Once my foot heels I am winning these races. When I reached my front porch, Victor was already standing by the door.

"You okay?" He looked at me as I heaved myself, out of breath, onto the stairs.

"Yeah, running is not my best bet at the moment." I kissed him and opened my door. "Bye."

"Later!" He blew me a kiss and ran back home.
………………………………....................................
I was sitting on my bed listening to music when I looked up at my window. A part of me wanted to open it and seeing Wilson-okay maybe not. God knows what he would do if that happen. Besides, won’t be seeing him ever again. No worries, right? My mother called me for dinner just as I was about to open the window. See I am causing myself these nightmares just by thinking about the familiar things. I think I washed my purple bed sheets, my stuff animals and my cover like a million times back in my old house but I ended up throwing half that in garbage. I walked down the stairs carefully.

"Alexander is joining us for dinner." I smiled at little Alexander as he slapped me five.

"What is for dinner?" I asked as I eyed my plate, which contained only vegetables, with a frown.

"You should gain back some wait weight with those." My mother pats my head as she dug into her rice and chicken. My stomach yearned for it.

"I am not very hungry. I am going for a walk." Before anyone could tell me no, I grabbed my jacket and boots was out the door.

"They have some nerve!" I yelled into the dark night. "Broccoli with cheese with potatoes and carrots. I am not eating that garbage!"

I sat on the curb by the snow. I was wrong nothing can go back to normal with a mother who thinks that healing is based off what you eat and what you do. I picked up some snow and threw it.

"Ouch. Is that anyway to treat your boyfriend?!" Victor shoved me and laughed.

"Oh sorry. Well who told you to be in the way?" I looked at him. He had something in his hand.

"Hmm, my mom told me about your mother’s diet for you." He handed me a container of chocolate ice cream. "So I figured that maybe ice cream would help it digest."

"Yum." We sat on the curb sharing that ice cream. The greatest ice cream in the world, I might add.

Victor’s POV

I didn’t know the dark could be so ugly and scary. My bedroom looks like a big black hole into the night. My pajama bottoms were sticking to my sweaty body. I had already pulled off my shirt. But I was still sweating and burning. I turned and tossed myself about my bed but sleep wasn’t coming any time soon for me. I sat up deciding that music was the best deal I had at the moment. But instead it got me more awake. I tossed my ipod back on my dresser and tried to close my eyes.

"I can’t take this!" I whispered into the darkness.

I grabbed my sweater and shirt. I tossed on some shoes and went outside. From my backyard I can see Callie’s house all nice and shimmering. And that fact that her bedroom light is still on gives me the best thought of my life. Maybe she can help me sleep.
………………………………....................................
Callie’s POV

I was eating a candy bar. I needed the sugar. Not only was I not getting sleep, I was pumped and could probably jump from the tallest building in the world. Okay, maybe not. I was sitting on my bed looking at my window. It’s nothing like my old room’s window. This one is long and rectangular and it’s not really a window, it’s also a door that leads to this small balcony covered in Christmas lights and snow. I stood on it with nothing on my feet. Snow feels good bare against your feet but also cold. I always feared getting locked out here so I put my Science textbook in between the door and my opening to home. I run back inside to get my sweater.

Victor’s POV

This couldn’t be easy as I slide my body of the railing. I pulled off my boots and stood by the door. Callie was rummaging into her closet and when she turn around and saw me she laughed.

"You freaking scared me. What are you doing here?" She reached up and kissed me.

"Couldn’t sleep." I closed the sliding doors and pulled the curtains. "Don’t want the neighbors getting any funny ideas."

"Hm, you did just climb up my ladder like in one of those fairy tale books…which one?" She sat down on her bed thinking about it.

"Forget about it." I smiled as I hoped onto her bed. "I love this room better than the old one. Much bigger bed for stuff, lots of space to play around and there is even a TV. Are we too young to move into together?"

"Oh the hell with it!" Callie pulled me down by my pajama pants. "And sit down. You are making the bed rock."

We both cracked up and felt this weird sensation like guiltiness almost.
………………………………....................................
In the morning, I couldn’t believe it. One, Victor was still asleep on my bed and two it was like four in the morning when I stirred awake. I was having a nice dream and now I have to be awoken by…what did wake me up? I sat and looked around but it was just darkness. I climbed out of my bed silently and looked out my window. Hmm, now that I am awake I guess the only thing I can do is go get ready for school.

Victor’s POV

Stupid class trips. Its freezing out here and Ms. Wolff wants to do a head count but when we get on the bus she is going to count us again. Danny is munching granola bar in my face. I wanted to throw it into the snow but I couldn’t do to my buddy. He broke half and offered me some.

"Yuck. Your mouth has been on that." I declined.

"That’s you but I bet Miranda would eat it." Danny chuckled.

"I double dare you." I smiled. "But lick it first and then give it to her."

Danny licked all around and walked up to Miranda. He offered it and being she has this super crush on me and saw me looking she took it willingly and put in her mouth, chewed and swallowed. She had a grimace on her face as she tried to spit it back out.

"Eww!" She screeched. "I tasted salvia!"

Danny and I fell into the snow laughing. Ms. Wolff told Miranda to calm down but she couldn’t. She was too busy flipping out.

"Dude that was the best prank we ever pulled. She deserved it though for talking trash yesterday." Danny sucked in a deep breath but couldn’t help to laugh again. Things were back to normal.

Callie’s POV

"You pulled the old salvia trick again" I shook my head at them. "So immature and funny."

"Yeah but at least now we can go on the bus. Plus, I don’t even want to the Gardens of Suns." Victor kicked some snow. "But at least it’s indoors this year."

"Yeah." I smiled as I hopped onto the smelly bus.

"At least now things are back to normal." Victor suggested happily.

"Not quite." I inclined. "We still have to figure out why he took me in the first place."

"Yeah…true. Hopefully things will be back to normal then." He nodded and we sat down. But in the truth, we were normal again. No more nightmares, no more worries just normal and more normal.
