Chapter 13 - Enclosure

Victor’s POV

Its raining today. I was listening to One Republic sitting by my window. Fighting tears that were bound to fall. My father and looked at me and almost bawled himself. He didn’t know how to comfort me or make me forget. He just watched me looking out at the raining window praying she will run up the driveway with a smile that could kill me. I do love her smile. Rita was about to call me for dinner but decided against it. She thought I would come on my own. But deep down, I would just throw it up later thinking of the horrible stuff.

Callie’s POV

Its raining today. I sat within the window. It felt cold against my pants. Same clothes I had be wearing for an entire week now. They probably gave up on me. Winifred silently slipped into my room.

"You want to go home, right?" Winifred was stupid at times and I was beginning to doubt her.

"Yeah." I trembled and shivered at the thought.

"I don’t like you very much. I don’t get why he wants you so much. He treats you nicer than me. I just wish you would leave." Winifred was scaring me now as I stared at her.

"Touch me, I won’t have mercy." I stood in front of her. "You aren’t going to win!"

"What makes you think so?" Winifred grabbed my hair. "I am just like him. I can weaken you."

"I am not afraid of you!" I shoved an elbow in her stomach. "And I said if you touch me I won’t show you mercy."

I kicked her and ran for the door. Surprisingly when I unlocked it, it actually opened. I raced down hall wearing no jacket, sneakers or sweater. I would have made it down but someone grabbed my arm and slammed me up against a wall.

"Damn!" Wilson laughed. "I wanted to give you a sense of freedom which is why I let you run this far. Did you enjoy it?"

"Please let me go home!" Callie wasn’t begging, she was demanding it.

"Fine. One phone call. That’s it." Wilson shook his head. "You are annoying me now. I am on the verge of just throwing you out a window but you are lucky I love you. Do you prefer me dragging you back or are you going to walk back?"

"I am going home!" I kicked my leg back. He grabbed it and twisted it. I could hear the bones snap.

"I guess I have to carry you back now." Wilson was about to reach for me but I punched him in the face.

"I have no mercy!" I reached for anything. I dig in his pocket for something but anything. He grabbed my arm.

"Listen, I am getting tired of you!" Wilson twisted my arm. I cried. "Just for one thing."

"Let me go!" I raised my knee slamming up his face. He cut his lips and I think I cracked a tooth too. "I use to take lessons."

"You are going to pay for that!" He slammed my face into the wall.

"You fight like a baby!" Blood poured from my mouth. I got up and ran to the best of my ability.

"I am giving you satisfaction of running again!" He got up and followed me slowly. "You punched out my tooth! I don’t think you will not be the only one not giving out mercy because when I get to you, you won’t have a body to hit me with!"

I ran like crazy down the stairs hoping and hoping. I tripped and crack some bones but I was able to drag myself through the heavy snow. I ran as far as I could before just passing out in a alley. Oh god, it hurts and this reminds me of that day in school when I past out. Well something just like this only I think I am going to die.

"Callie? My name is Michael." He had this big bag. "I am going to lift you up carefully, okay? This might pinch."

Victor’s POV

"They found her!" Callie’s mother ran all the way to my house. "They found her!"

"Where?" I was crying with joy.

"In an alley not from Wilson’s apartment. Neighbors said they saw him beating her up and they called the police about it and following a trail they found an alley where they saw her. They took her the hospital. Let’s go." My parents loaded up the car.

We were sitting in the waiting room for an hour. My feet was tapping the ground. Rita said we should go home, so we did. We could come back tomorrow afternoon. I only shook my head and took five glances at the hospital before smiling.
……………………………….....
It turns out Wilson had three broken ribs and mashed up face. I saw him as the police surrounded his hospital room. I gave him the finger and laughed. He reached to get out of bed only to feel a sharp pain and cursed at me as I ran down the hall to find Callie. She looked completely healthy. Her ankle in a cast, her face stitched up, and her body wrapped up.

"Can you believe it! Three broken ribs, one gash above my left eyebrow, a broken ankle and a sore finger tips! Do you know how many people yelled at me, cried for me and smiled over me?" She was eating a sandwich and drinking a soda. "At least I got to drink soda!"

"Yeah…" I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t hug her, kiss her or anything expect feel sorry.

"I won’t die if you sit down." Callie giggled as she moved over and patted a place for me.

"But you almost did." I took off my shoes and climbed into that little bed with her. "Why did you go over there?"

"So I could officially be with you." She confessed kissing my lips. "And now that’s what I got."

"But he said-"

"You know he never really told me why he took me. One moment is about my step dad then its about loving me and then its about money." She shrugged and swallowed a gulp of soda. "Besides, your kisses were better than his. His were rough and hard. Never liked them."

"Promise never to do this again?" I asked touching the bandages.

"I promise to hold you, love you and be with you forever." She kissed me again and this time I kissed her back. "Besides, who would I have to carry me around school with?"

"You get to go home?" I looked at her. Loving those eyes.

"Within a week. I need crutches and my ribs should be healed by then." Callie smirked as she showed me her green and white cast. "Danny and Claire got to sign it. My brother did too, my mom and my dad. I also heard good news."

"You did?" I asked wrapping an arm around her waist as she leaned against me.

"My mother dumped Cairo finally and my dad is going to move in back with us."

"That is great news!" I kissed her hair and rubbed my cheek against it.

"Yeah." She closed her eyes. "Can you sing me to sleep?"

"I can’t sing." I shake my head.

"Yes you can. I have heard you." She leaned against me more and closed her eyes tight and relaxed. I cleared my throat and thought of a song.

"Grow some big feet, holes in history. Is where you’ll find me, is where you’ll find. All is love, is love, is love, is love." I sang my favorite song ever. "L.O.V.E, its a mystery. Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find. All is Love, is love, is love, is love. One, two, ready, go! L.O.V.E, its a mystery. Where you’ll find me, where you’ll find. All is love, is love, is love, is love. Ooh, ooh. All is Love. Is love! Is love! Is love!"

"I love you.’ Callie mumbled half awake.

"I love you too." I slipped out of the bed and kissed her lips.
