No Christmas Spirit

Title says it all
There's no Christmas spirit
In my family anymore
No one is singing
"Get inside and close the door"

There's no decorations
On the Christmas tree
I really wanted to
But no one would even see

Dad won't put up
The Christmas lights
Just mentioning it
Starts some fist fights

Mom won't cook
A nice big dinner
it's just another day
We'll just get thinner

There's no snowmen
Being built in the snow
That's all I ask daddy to do
But he just says no

I want there to be
Some Christmas spirit
Maybe Santa will grant me that wish
On his only visit
