Nighttime Nightmares

This was a random poem that I started to write and I think it was pretty good. It’s not true though…atleast not for me…
A cold yell of pain
The beating stops
All I hear is the rain
As I call the cops

My heart is racing
My mind shocked
My thoughts chasing
The face that mocked

I repeat the sound
Of that single shot
No ones around
He’ll never be caught

The tears haven’t come yet
But I can feel there heat
The first time we met
The next time we’ll meet

As I hear the sirens
The tears finally fall
I collapse over your still body
Knowing your not there at all

And I finally realize
You’re never coming back
And through all the my cries
I finally hear the crack

Of a 2nd bullet
Ripping through my heart
The blood starts streaming
A dark dart

And as I lie here dying
I now know I love you
Forever we will live now
Forever I will love you
