Nightly Prayer
The prayer I recite every night before sleep.
Now I lay me down to sleep
Once again to await the Reap
I see the shadows in my head
And I know not when I will be dead
And if I must keep
A single breath
I'll pray for sleep
I'll pray for death
I pray that no child in this world suffers
I pray that every child goes to sleep
With food in their stomachs,
Water on their lips,
And having found joy that day.
I pray that people become kinder
And less ugly to each other
I pray that this world
Becomes a better place to live
I pray for the strength,
And the guidance,
And the control,
And the patience,
And the hope
To continue forth
Even though I have no reason to live.
But most of all I pray for the love of a good, beautiful woman
Because trough this pain, I see the White
Yet I wish only for my one true light,
Or the Reaper,
Whoever is first,
Until then
It only hurts
So with every breath
That I must keep
I pray for Death
I pray for sleep
Amen.
Once again to await the Reap
I see the shadows in my head
And I know not when I will be dead
And if I must keep
A single breath
I'll pray for sleep
I'll pray for death
I pray that no child in this world suffers
I pray that every child goes to sleep
With food in their stomachs,
Water on their lips,
And having found joy that day.
I pray that people become kinder
And less ugly to each other
I pray that this world
Becomes a better place to live
I pray for the strength,
And the guidance,
And the control,
And the patience,
And the hope
To continue forth
Even though I have no reason to live.
But most of all I pray for the love of a good, beautiful woman
Because trough this pain, I see the White
Yet I wish only for my one true light,
Or the Reaper,
Whoever is first,
Until then
It only hurts
So with every breath
That I must keep
I pray for Death
I pray for sleep
Amen.
