Nicole Richie Collapses

Sources say that Richie collapsed at the club around 2 a.m., causing a staff member to begin to call for an ambulance. It was reported that Richie’s friends asked the employee not to call and said they were taking Richie to the hospital. A source said, "The friends then carried Richie out of the club through a back door." Richie’s rep denies that the Simple Life star collapsed, but did confirm that she briefly stopped in at Hyde on Saturday night. Another source claims that Richie had been partying with actress Lindsay Lohan before she allegedly collapsed.

The news comes on the heels of the reports that Richie had entered a treatment facility to deal with the fact that she cannot gain weight. Her reps have maintained that Richie does not have an eating disorder, but that she simply can’t gain weight. Her rep reported last week that she entered the facility to "undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she’s not been putting on any weight." The rep went on to say Richie "is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition. A friend of Richie’s said she "wants to gain weight."

Richie is set to start filming on the fifth season of The Simple Life. If you look at season one of the show she looks like a completely different girl! She has lost a drastic amount of weight in the last few years. She has blamed her weight loss partially on her break-up with ex-fiancé Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein. When the two finally split for the last time, once of DJ AM’s friends reported that part of the problem was Richie’s unhealthy weight. She has said in the past that she is too thin, hopefully she gets the help she needs.
