Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban Welcome Baby

The baby was named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and weighed in at 6 pounds 7 ounces. A rep for Urban said, "Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side and mother and baby are very well." He reportedly added that the couple is "delighted" about the birth of their daughter. Kidman, 41, and Urban, 40, confirmed their pregnancy in January. In an interview for July’s Vogue Kidman said that she cried when she saw her ultrasound for the first time. She also said, "I didn’t think I’d get to experience that in my lifetime. I like the unpredictable nature of it. To feel life growing with you is something very, very special, and I’m going to embrace that completely."

Urban wrote on his website Monday, "Earlier this morning, Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today." This is the first child for Urban and the third for Kidman. She has two adopted children – Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. She recently revealed that she suffered a miscarriage early on in her relationship with Cruise and had always wanted to have a child.

The couple met in January 2005 and was married in Sydney, Australia on June 25, 2006. Three months after they tied the knot Urban checked into The Betty Ford Clinic to deal with his addiction to alcohol. Kidman said at the time that the couple had to "dig deep," but she stood by Urban’s side and the couple weathered the storm.
