Nick Cannon, Selita Ebanks Split

Cannon, 26, and Victoria’s Secret model Ebanks, 24, not only called off their engagement but they have reportedly called it quits on their relationship as well. Ebanks rep, Melissa Raubvogel, said, "Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers but still very much love each other and remain the best of friends." There has been no comment from Cannon’s camp.

Cannon and Ebanks met in February in Miami at a Super Bowl party. In March it was rumored that the two had secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas. Cannon and Ebanks laughed off the rumors, but two months later the Drumline actor actually popped the question. On May 7, Cannon and Ebanks attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala. After the event they were headed to the afterparty at Butter when they stopped off in Times Square. Cannon presented Ebanks with a 12-carat ring that he helped design and a message on the MTV JumboTron that read, "Selita will you marry me?" She said yes.

It seems that Cannon and Ebanks differed on their wedding styles. Over the summer Ebanks said, "He’s all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I’m all about the courthouse." He has previously been romantically linked to actress Christina Milian and Kim Kardashian. Cannon has appeared in such films as Love Don’t Cost a Thing, Roll Bounce, and Underclassman. He has also produced two popular television series - The Nick Cannon Show and Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out.
