Newsletters as SEO

Newsletters are beneficial for a multitude of ways. The more material you have online and set up to be found by search engines, the better.

Let me explain. We have an accounting customer who requested that, at a small additional monthly cost, we add each newsletter for every single month to his actual website. HIS intent was so that his customers could look up past newsletters if they accidentally deleted them, or had a point of reference for tax issues further on down the line. We provided him with these online PDFs, with which he was very pleased. What he did not expect, was that nearly every one of these newsletters have been found by the major search engines, and they are not only improving his ranking, but he has received actual new customers as a result. This is a customer whose site has only been up for a few months, and he is already seeing new recurring sales. I’d like to see more than one or two other SEO methods that can boast such results.

Once again, it is a fun, easy way to optimize your site without slaving for hours submitting articles and URLs, and basically begging for attention from the already flooded online media outlets. Newsletters are great, whether sent by mail, or email, as a reminder that you are there to serve your customer, both as a sales resource AND as valuable resource of information. When the newsletters themselves act as SEO tools, it is truly the icing on the virtual cake.
