New Year 2012
My perception of a New Year.

New year is seen by many as a form of celebration to a new beginning. A clean slate, another chance at their dreams, goals and of course at life. While most of us were out, partying last night and having family get-togethers, Japan experienced another earth quake. In March 2011, Japan experienced an earthquake and a huge tsunami which killed more than 19,000 people and which damaged a nuclear power plant which has been leaking radiation into the environment. On New year, while Japan was still celebrating, hopeful for a new start for the tragedy they have gone through another earthquake hit near Tokyo Japan. Not many people were harmed but it was not the way the Japanese would have intended their New Year would start. Thankfully not many were harmed but Japan still has to go through the difficult task of rebuilding the damage done to the nation. Hopefully whoever is able to help will do so and the world will stand by Japan in heart.
Many of us make "New year's Resolutions' - I am the one who do not believe in them because I feel that No matter how many plans we make this year or any other year, no matter whether we write it down, or make a mental note about it in life will just happen and plans will be ruined. As for resolutions for the New Year, the best we can do is to try to handle all the situations life throws at us as best we can and be hopeful that this year will be filled with better than bad times. I may not believe in New year's resolutions but I do believe taking the time to reflect on yourself and to think about the person you were, the previous year is good for you. It makes you think about why you handled certain situations the way you did and when the same thing comes along, you might handle it differently. Making small goals for yourself is good as well. Life is unpredictable but it doesn't hurt to have a plan A, B and sometimes to whip out a plan C if needed.
This year might not be the year we will all hope it will be, I thought by the year 2000 there would be flying cars, shoes with jets attached to them and that we all would be wearing metallic clothing also that the moon would be a holiday destination. As for the rumors, 2012 will be the end of the WORLD! Well I hardly believe on it and it had better not be true because then all I have done for my entire life is 12 years at school! Whatever happens to all of us this year and wherever everyone is, I wish you all the best. Just take everyday as it comes, take a deep breath and dive into the ocean of life. Warm thanks to my loyal readers for the past year, I will continue to try my best to give you quality reading material. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
