New Storyy :] Feedback!

It all started two years ago at the beginning of the last semester at high school. I was 16 years old and my middle name was > geek <. Guess what? I had thick brown curly hair that never stayed in place, braces (which is mostly why people made fun of me) and glasses.
I used to make part of the drama Club and as always the club decided to make an end-of-the year play. As I had been a member of this group for over five years the drama teacher, Tanya gave me the leading role which was Cinderella. We were going to play the classical story, Cinderella, but with a modern edge. I was hoping that Prince Charming would be played by someone I knew as I used to be easily intimidated by people who weren’t my type.
My friends were congratulating me for being given the main part when suddenly the door opened and in came Daniel Davis! What the hell what was is he doing here? I thought to myself. (Not knowing Daniel Davis one would be asking who he is. In short I will tell you. He is the hottest guy at school, football captain and dating head cheerleader) .
Going back to the real world from my thoughts I looked at him as he approached Tanya and handed her a paper. She nodded at him and they headed towards us. "I would all like you to hear what I am going to say," she said. All our eyes turned to look at her and Daniel who was standing next to her. "You all know Daniel from your classes, he is going to be making part of this and take part in the play. With discussions with the headmaster we decided to give him the second leading role, Prince Charming."
When Tanya finished what she had to say, all eyes turned to look at me. I was looking at Tanya with my mouth open. ME of all people.. Chosen to work with HIM? The most intimidating person of the school was going to be my partner! I couldn’t refuse my part and he seemed somehow inclined to do it, which was rather something unusual as he always look at people like me as if we were nothing.
