Chapter-3
Mart POV:
Did my best friend just support her against me..? What's wrong with him and do I have to listen to him now? But why? Why should I do that? I have my own car and I can go on my own right? Well the fact is I can't. My life is so much reliable on Alex that I cannot do anything against him. He is very well aware of this fact and that's why sometimes compels me to do something like this. Wait did I just convince myself to go with them? No no no I didn't and I won't! Mart always does what he wants to.
I went outside where they were waiting for me in the car. I directly went to the car towards the passenger side, looked at Alex from the window and then...
SAT INSIDE, banged the door hard and looked away from Alex. Yes, what else will I do? I just can't say anything against him may be this is a kind of weakness and in fact, my only weakness and I hate this. But apart from this, Mart always does what he wants to. Never does anything for any one...Because it's Mart...Martin Stevenson the great.
We have reached our office after we dropped that girl and so far we didn't speak at all. I didn't speak to my friend this morning all because of that girl. I don't even know her name. God why do I get so pissed by her? She is really irritating me now but why?? Looking at her I feel weird. I had this weird feeling last night when I first saw her in the dim moonlight that had a reflection on her face; it was shining naturally with her white complexion. Something happened. Something disturbs me when I see her and I hate that. I really do hate such person who wants to disturb me. I don't like being disturbed but I love disturbing others. Because Mart always annoys people...Haha...
BEAPP...BEAPPPPPPPP
I was startled suddenly by the noise and saw Alex beside horning the car continuously...
BEAPPP...!!!!!!!
"Whoa..!! What?" I could barely hear my voice..BEAPP BEAPPPPPPP..!!!
Stop it..!! "BEAPPP...!!! "Just STOP IT..." I yelled at him.
And thank god he finally did stop but started staring at me.
"What??"
"Say you are not going to repeat this"
"This. What?"
"Behaving like a jerk in front of her"
"This is it now"I threw my hands in the air. "I am not goanna do anything that you say, alright. Don't even try this time. I don't like her and I am goanna behave the same way...You better not mess it up with me about this..."
"But why? You hardly know her Mart?"
"I don't know. It's just -something about her irritates me"
'But you haven't even met her properly Mart and-"
"No way Alex I don't even want to meet and it's better we don't talk about it ok"I cut him off and he was silent. I got off the car, closed the door. I looked through the window at him and said "now let us go inside. We have an important meeting"
"Oh really! How come you remember about this?" he said sarcastically, and then got off the car.
"Ah.actually Angela will be there too..."I smirked at him while walking inside towards the door together.
"And that's how you remember"
"Yeah..."I winked at him and he gave a cold look.
We were towards the entrance that has a big glass door at the opening. I was facing towards Alex and when I turned to face the door, I didn't notice it was almost near to me that I ended up hitting my nose against it.
"Hahhahahhhhhhhaaaaaaa"he was laughing hilariously along with the other people at the door who was trying to hold back their laughs.
"Shut up"
"Ha-your. Your nose.."He said in the middle of those laughs
"What's wrong with it now?"
"Its red,just like a cherry" he laughed again.
I stared at him as cold as I can but somehow couldn't hold it long enough so I joined him to laugh while all the others joined along us.
We went directly to the meeting room where every one was waiting for us. That meant we were late. Alex immediately opened his laptop and started with the presentation. It was actually supposed to be given by me but as usual Alex did it all for me and I am barely interested in it. I mean common who will do all that job of creating new schemes to attract sponsors and then give them a presentation about it, its kind of boring for me. Instead I prefer to sit beside Angela and flirt with her. But where is she?
She was supposed to be in the meeting today. She got this chance to be involved in this project so that she could have her salary raised to double and it was for this opportunity she accepted to be with me last night. But nothing happened of course. All thanks to that stupid girl... I am not having a very good time in this boring meeting. I was here for my signatures else I would be partying somewhere by now.
Then I here the applause from the members here.Thankgod it's done. People here are standing and congratulating Alex.Oh so they liked it great! So more and more money. I felt happy at that thought. I forced a happy smile and stood beside Alex. People even shook hands with me and congratulated because Alex obviously said it was my idea. How sweet of him. I faked a smile while they greeted me.
"Alex what was the presentation about?" I whispered to him in the ear making sure only he heard. He just smirked at me and continued greeting the guests.
"Ok I am done now; you pick me at the pub tonight. Bye Alex" I started from the cabin after I finished signing all the papers.
"You come only for signatures and receive the checks Mart?" Greg stopped me.
"Don't call me Mart. It's Martin. Mart is only for those who are close to me do you get that?"
"Oh son I am-so-"
"Don't you ever make a mistake to call me son either Greg and what's your problem now? What is it? Talk to me faster whatever you have to because I have very less time for your nonsense"
"You should have more time for this nonsense from now onwards Mr. Martin to get your weekly checks on time"
"Are you kidding me? Now you are going to pay me in my own office?" I raised my eyebrows.
"You call it your own office after you do something useful for it Martin"he folded his hands across his chest and came close to me.
"Oh! So you think you will pay for me?"
"Yes and that too if you work here full-time 9 to 5 you will get your share of pay for a week if not, then no"
"You will impose conditions on me to use my own property?"
"Yes"
"What on earth made you think that ill follow this?'
"Because you have got no other way to earn money if not this. Plus when I say you have gotto work here it means only you and not Alex and you will also not involve with any of the female office staff from now and those whom you have already seduced are out of office now. I have fired all of them.
"What? You have no right to do that Greg" I stared yelling at him
"I already did it" He stated.
"But why?" I screamed with anger. My blood is really boiling now and He is really driving me nuts.
"What happened last night shouldn't repeat Martin;We have seen enough of your arrogance.Its high time that you take the actual responsibility of our business" he placed his hand on my shoulder.I jerked it away and said
"And you think if you do this Ill listen to you?" I was yelling over my voice pointing my finger to him. "In that case let me tell you that you are wrong Greg and you know what, I give a dam shit about it o.k. now do whatever you want while Ill do what I want"
With that I banged the door hard and left the room.
What the hell is he thinking? He wants to control me? He thinks he can impose restrictions on my life?? No way..!! I will at least stop my expenditures. I don't need his bloody money. But I am not going to listen to him never..!!
What? Did I just say that I would reduce spending? That means no pubs, no partying and no girls..!!!! Yes obviously because I don't have a single penny left in my account as I spend it all just like that. And with my credits and debits I can only manage a few days and after that??Oh no.!! This is what his plan. If I obey him or not either way he wants me to get rid of my fun life.Oh no..!! Now what do I do; work in the office no it just sucks being there...stop living my life as I want..??
What's happening to my life all of a sudden? It was great till yesterday and now...yes yesterday now this is all because of that bitch..! But what did she do? She ended up being in my guest room if not all this nonsense wouldn't have been there.But why am I thinking about her so much?She has been popping into my mind all the time today for some reasons or the other.But now
I am going to teach her a lesson.She can't mess my life like this no way...I'll show her what it costs...
