New Life (19)

Ila POV:

"What do you mean..?" I exclaimed.
"I mean exactly the same as what you heard. I saw you making out with that bastard in the party..." Mart yelled on the top of his voice with his eyes turning red as he threw his hands in the air.
"Unbelievable..! How could you even say that? I was just trying to help him...He is handicapped god damn it and I was just helping him..."
"Don't you dare to lie to me...Maggie..." He eyes turned cold and I shivered at his harsh voice...

No No I didn't change my name nor got converted I am still Ila,well, I am describing the movie that I am watching right now..Yes...It's the short movie that we made...We shot it completely yesterday in and around the Stevenson's villa...I must tell, it turned out to be really good. Me and Mart..! Wow we are just sizzling onscreen. Don't we make a cute pair, hey?

How would I ever forget to mention...Mart is an awesome actor...I just didn't expect him to open up so much...The usual arrogant jerk that I've know is actually being super spontaneous in opening up more of himself. We actually had real fun shooting yesterday. Every one took good care of me that I won't strain my leg doing tough shots. I'm glad we have done it all in time and now it's being watched by thousands of people out here including all the media and TV productions.
I am super exited right now and I just hope our work does well here today...*fingers crossed*...

Ok...now back to the climax of the movie...
Mart, Ok...Let's call him john as of now...That's what he played while I played Maggie...

So, he came close to her, his eyes still cold looking at her right into her eyes.

"Maggie...why did you do this to me..?" he whispered as low as he can but that sound was terrible.

"This is it John..You don't trust me anymore..What's wrong with you? What happened to the love that you had on me..?" Maggie spoke as her voice almost broke and there were tears in the corner of her eye.

"Same thing I can ask you too..." he said blankly turning away from her.

"John..." She placed her hand on his shoulder...he jerked it away...

"John just look at me..." she tried to make him face her while he at once turned to face her.

"JUST SHUT THE BLOODY UP...YOU BITCH! just go fuck with him!!"
he lifted his hand and was almost about to slap her but stopped midway in the air as if some realization stuck him suddenly.

He kept staring at her while she had all steaming tears rolling down her cheeks.

He used the same hand that was lifted to slap her to touch those tears with the tips of his fingers. Now she moved back taking a step behind.

"Who are you? Where is my John who loved me?" she whispered while sobbing and moving behind each step.

"Maggie...I was just pissed off and..."

"Pissed off...but why don't you believe what I said-" She was interrupted by the phone ring.

It kept ringing thrice while we kept staring at each other none of us bothering to lift it.

"Hey, May be I am out or probably busy right now, so just leave a message.bye.Maggie..." Answering machine spoke.

"Hey Maggie...its me Pam.Thanks for helping out my bro in the party today. I was so worried when he told me that he broke his support stick, but all thanks to you that you helped him get into a cab...give me a call when you get back...I would surely want to thank you properly..." with that she hung up.

"That's the person, whom you think I am cheating upon you..He is Pam's brother and a way too much elder than me...I just met him couple of times before...and that's the same person whom you thought of spying about..."

"Spying..?No I didn't..."

"Yes...You did... why do you annoy me with your stupid actions?" She uttered out to him.

"Ok...Now I ANNOY you now...fine..." he said blankly.

There were a lot more tears finding their way out of her eyes, and I could see him staring at her.

"What's your problem Maggie?"

"My problem? Huh! WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?" She yelled at him.

"I mean, I can't see you having that love for me anymore...you don't trust me anymore John...I don't see you happy with me anymore...Why is that?

When was the last time you smiled for me? When was the last time your shared your happiness with me? When was the last time we went out for a DATE John..?When was the last time you Kissed Me.? Do you remember??

It's like we living in together but still fallen apart John...What's wrong with you?" She said almost sobbing and shedding more and more tears out of her eyes...She found her voice broke.

"I can ask you all that Maggie...try to find some answers for all those yourself...

You started going away from me...You don't have time for me at all...and ever since you've joined in this stupid new job you have got a hell lot of people to hangout with and you hardly have time for me..." he added.

"Oh really? Then what about the time that I spend in home? What do you do? Just sit around with your laptop or your own stuff..You don't even talk to me god damn it...!" She was frustrated.

"Because I keep waiting for you to be done with your never ending phone calls or friend visits.." he said
"And I just wait for you to come and talk to me..." now her voice low as she gave up arguing...
"This is not done John...We can't keep this going like this.." she said.
"You are not calling for a break up. Are you?"
"I'm afraid! Do you want that??"

He was silent. He didn't answer back and this hurt her more. So does he really want to end it all here? She couldn't think, much. She just went right into her room and started packing her things. After a while she headed down with her bags. He saw her and was shocked to death. What is she thinking? She really wants to end this??

"Maggie..wait..Is this all you want? Really??" He said behind her as she stood at the entrance.

"I need some time off John..." with that she banged the door closed right in front of his face and left.
He was completely pale and couldn't think anything.He hit his fist hard against the closed door in frustration and swallowed the hard lump in his throat realizing all that happened.

Days passed, weeks passed but either of them didn't try to contact each other. Neither did they move on...they have stuck in between nothing. The pain inside was too much for her bear anymore. She was feeling completely empty from inside and she wanted to do nothing other than just get back to him and just be with him. Soon she admitted this to herself and decided to go and meet him.

She went right into his apartment just like that and looked around for him. She went up and there she found him looking through some old pictures of them together.This got tears in her eyes. She didn't expect he would still be stuck with hre.She thought he would move on but still she wanted to give it a try. So she came there to see him but he was looking terrible. His face was all pale and his eyes were tear shredded. Her face was nothing better than his though.

He was busy looking at those pictures and didn't notice her standing in front of him. She went right behind him hugged him from behind wrapping her hand below his arm and resting her head on his back below his shoulder. She started shedding tears on his shirt.

The touch of her against his body brought his senses back. He knew it was her. He was so much longing to get her in his arms. God he missed her so much..! He turned around to meet his gaze with her. As he turned around holding her hand, he cupped her face with his hands, and she immediately met his lips with hers. She kissed him with all that she had and let out more tears as she felt him possessively hug her. She really missed him...

"I'm sorry John..I really am. I wasn't thinking when I got busy with all my new stuff. I would never repeat it. I will not allow any of my friends to come her. I will throw away my phone. I will not let any one interfere in our personal life. It will be just "we" from now on John..I'll even quit that stupid job. I don't need anything except you...Nothing else matters John...If you are with me..." she said with those tears in her eyes...

"No...Maggie. I'm sorry..You don't need to give up your life baby..Just lead it as you want..but still just be there with me..forever...I would rather prefer sitting in silence with you than being away from you...You almost killed me these days..You know that??" He said while kissing her temple.

He then sat on his kneels and said... "Marry me Maggie...Just be mine forever...I promise, You would have your space in your life and so will I. All I need is you...I'm sure we will work it out together...Just don't ever leave me again..." he said as he held her hand in his.

She nodded her agreement and sat on her kneels too to hug him. She hugged him tight letting out small smiles and chuckles while he kissed all over her neck and hair to feel her embrace.

"I haven't got a ring baby...I know its so pathetic way of proposing...but you showed up so suddenly..." she placed her finger on his lips making him stop...

"Its best gift you have ever given me..." she whispered rolling her eyes from his eyes to his lips...He took the hint and bent down to kiss her all over again and this time it was more passionate and affectionate....

And with that the camera went away from them with the narration in the background..

'Sometimes we need some time off to realize how much we miss someone, and love needs some time space in-between to blossom more.."

Okay this was in Alex voice...and then it ended. We were rewarded by applauds and standing ovations. I squeezed Mart's hand that I've been holding all through the climax keeping my fingers crossed while he wrapped his hand tight around my shoulder, squeezed it a little assuring me it went all god and then bent down to whisper something in my ears..

"I'll be right back..." he said and vanished from there within moments...where do he have to go now leaving me all alone here.
Then I saw the end of the scrolling on the screen and just before thought it's all over I saw a photograph of mine scrolled on the screen and stopped at the display. I didn't understand what's happening...

"Surprise.." I heard Mart's voice..

He came walking to the stage with a mike in his hands. What is he doing?

"Alright everyone..You just seen me on screen..So how was it..?" He asked the crowd and received a screams all together...

"You guys liked it?" he asked and then they screamed with joy all together again..He really is quite famous..

"That sounds good...Okay...Every one take your seats I have something important to talk..." What is it??

Just before I was about to sit.. "Not you Ila...keep standing..." he spoke to me...

What does he wanna do? Than the spot light landed on me and instead of my picture I was displayed on the screen my face showing clear shock and confusion and also annoyance when the crowd "Ohhh" ed all together at me.

No I was waiting for what he would say..A speech.??
