New Beginnings - Ch.5

Choices, feelings, love...
We went to a restaurant that was fairly close to the apartment, in case of an emergency occurred; something tutors should do. Aaron took me to a restaurant called, LeFey, it's a fancy pizza parlor. He ordered a pepperoni pizza, while I found a booth to sit in. I flopped into a booth and then memories started to flash in front of my eyes.
"Mom! Where are you!" I shouted, I'm six years old at the local supermarket.
My mom and I got separated from a mob of people. My tear streaked cheeks started to turn red and my voice started to turn hoarse.
"Mom!" I yelled. Then I went over to the clothes rack, sat down on the floor, and cried some more.
I watched my younger self cry from fear, and my heart broke, remembering the incident like it was yesterday. Ending up, my mother was at the jewelry section, but I didn't remember most of this memory. Then I heard the giggling noise again.
I turned my head quickly behind me, seeing a cloud of darkness coming my way.
"No, get away!"
The giggling got louder and more obnoxious, making the atmosphere cool, scarier."
"Come join me, Amanda. I need you."
"I'll never join the dark," I harshly declared.
"Please, I don't want to force you."
I quickly turned back to younger me, seeing an associate helping younger me out. She smiled and started to babble on.
"Ah, we were so cute, but we can be cuter when we rule the world," her voice smoothly said.
"I'll never be cute as you portray it. I have hope for the future, I have hope to achieve my goals, I have no intentions going your way in life. So I won't give up on my life, and I will be better than you."
"Fine, have it your way, but just remember, I won't give up, you will be here with me..."

I quickly open my eyes and saw Aaron glaring at me. I breathed heavily, trying to make my heart rate slow down. Aaron slowly walked over to me and sat down beside me.
"We need to get your powers under control. I can tell you were using your powers, your vibe flickered. Was it..." he whispered.
"Hmm," I muttered. "She seems to get stronger each time I use my powers. I'm becoming scared, but as long as I have hope, I should be fine."
"I totally agree. The dark side may take harmless demon's body, but they cannot take your spirit and soul. And you, my dear, have tons of spirit," he smiled.
My heart fluttered when he called me 'my dear'. I closed my eyes and smirked.
"You're so cute when you're like that, so innocent and peaceful, but you have a raging battle within you," he smiled.
I shook my head and stared at the ceiling, seeing the fluorescent light bulbs bright lights. I slightly sighed and Aaron wrapped his arm around my waist, then slid me very close to him.
"Umpf...got to be a bit rough there?" I smirked.
"Well, I could always do it harder and without you knowing."
I glanced over to the other tables, trying to make my mind think of other things instead of Aaron.
"What's wrong, you seem quiet?" he whispered against my ear.
"Thinking, maybe we should go back and eat, so I can get some training done. I rather be on guard with my demonic side than none at all."
"Alright. I'll tell them to make them to-go," he smoothly said and grabbed my hand, then it slipped out.

I closed my eyes and sighed heavily. I glanced towards Aaron with great interest, then I softly smiled. Then a cold chill ran down my body, feeling the goosebumps run down my arms. I kept my eyes open, watching for any odd things. Then I caught a glimpse of a cloud of smoke coming my way and my heart stopped.
"No," I muttered. "Leave me alone," I whined and quickly got up.
Aaron must've sensed something was wrong. He quickly turned around and saw me running to the exit. The air hit my face, cooling down my body from my heat. I glanced back and saw the smoke coming closer and closer to me. Afraid to stop, the smoke would catch up to me, taking over my control.
"Amanda," it said and I cried out, then something grabbed me.
"Let me go!" I screamed. "I don't want to go! Let me go!"
"Amanda! What's up with you?" said the voice.
I quickly glanced up to see Aaron holding me tightly against him. The smoke is now gone, and I started to cry.
"Amanda," he whispered and held me tight, stroking my hair.
I sniffled, and held Aaron's arms tightly for safety. "I thought I was a goner," I murmured.
"What happened? You were perfectly fine when I left you, then you're freakin' out."
"The smoke, I need to get my powers under control fast before it is too late. We need to train like as soon as possible. I want this smoke to be gone."
Aaron's grip tightened around me and I laid my head on his chest, feeling his protection, his muscular arms all around me. "We'll train as much as possible."
"Thanks," I whispered and stared into his eyes, then I glanced away from him.
Aaron got up and he didn't let go of me, dragging me back to the pizza parlor to retrieve our pizza.
"You can let me go."
"No, you'll be better this way. Anyways, it gives me a reason to touch you some more," he smiled.
I started to blush and he ran fingers down my cheek, making shivers run down my spine.
"Quit that, we're in public!" I harshly whispered.
"So what, if the norm don't like it, they can go to hell."

I rolled my eyes and we got our pizza. After five minutes, we started to eat. Still remembering the smoke in the restaurant, I closed my eyes and held back my fear.
"Amanda, just try not to remember the incident, it's bad thinking about it."
I quickly opened my eyes and stared at Aaron, which his gaze made me feel hot.
"Well, I'm sorry I think upon the past, its me!" I shouted. "I had a lot of bad experiences in the past," then I looked away from him.
His touch is soft against my skin, and his breath is warm against my cheek. I slowly turned my head to see Aaron close to me.
"Aaron, you have to do that, it makes me frightened sometimes," then I sighed.
"Mmm," then he kissed my cheek.
My heart instantly stopped. I just stared off in space, can't believe that Aaron did that.
"Breath," he softly said and kissed my cheek again, then he bite my ear.
"Aaron, I think we shouldn't be doing this. I really don't want to start a relationship, and then something bad would happen," I sadly said.
"Nothing bad will happen," his hand slipped into my hand.
"Yes it can. What if I turn evil? You'll have to stop me then, but we start a relationship, then you won't stop me," I whined a bit.
"You're not turning evil, Amanda, I won't let it..."
"But you never think of the other side of things," I cut him off. "I won't be able living with myself if I would happen to hurt or kill you. There's always that possibility, like if it's going to rain tomorrow, there's a possibility."
"Amanda, you shouldn't be thinking that way," Aaron declared, his hands appeared on my face, forcing me to watch him. "I love you, god dammit," he murmured.
He loves me? Then tears started to run down my cheeks and Aaron moaned.
"Don't cry," then he held me in a tight embrace.

I need to do something, I heavily thought then tried to stand up and did.
"Where are you doing?" Aaron asked.
"I'm going to rest, maybe it'll clear my head," then I walked to the bedroom and locked the door.
I fell onto the bed and my mind just ran like a theater projector. Seeing the smoke then Aaron's tight embrace.
I love you, god dammit! Aaron's voice echoed through my mind, making my heart throb. I placed my hand on my face, where Aaron kissed me.
"I need to do something, he's starting to make moves, but I'm afraid. Should I make the next move or should I take a step back?" I moaned to myself, feeling Aaron's warm kiss still lingering on my cheek.
I sat up, then I decided on practicing my powers. So I calmly closed my eyes, and thought about memories I had.
Darkness everywhere, I glance through my surroundings, just see wastelands.
Where am I? This isn't anything I remember.
I walked around and I ended up to a pond, which has gunk and junk in it. The poor habitat is ruined, won't see no animals coming to this pond.
"Wait, I been here when I was a kid. My father took me here when we fished, seeing the baby frogs and sun fish swim around."
I glanced around, seeing nothing and I walked away to the pond, hoping to find a good explanation. Then I noticed a darkening shadow. This shadow turned into a human form, an older version of me; longer hair, brighter complexion, but deep dark red eyes.
"Mmm, you are the useless me. Being evil is awesome," shadow me snickered.
"No, being regular demon is awesome," then a bright light appeared and the better, nicer me appeared; looking hundreds times beautiful than now or demonic evil me. "Don't let miss doom bog you down, be free, be nice, be a well rounded demon. You're smart, go for goals."
"Shut up, miss glow. Amanda, you need to follow this path; destruction is awesome and glorious."
"Amanda," said nice me. "Follow your instincts. Allow your heart lead the way to your happiness. Typically paths are laid out in stone for demons, but you my dear, are different. You will make the future of the demonic world glow with your knowledge and wisdom. Just, do what is necessary," she softly said.
I stared at both of them and then I was back in the bedroom. I glanced around, noticing I was gone for two hours, and I just thought about what both sides of me said. I got up and glanced out the door, seeing Aaron watching television. I smiled and walked to bed.
