New Author---> ~~Secret Love~~
She likes him, he likes her. Neither know it. She watches him, he watches her we she isn't looking. She smiles at him, he yearns to smile back. She says "Hi", he walks right past her feeling guilty, knowing he has to. She dreams of him, he can't stop.

---Intro---Lily's POV
Hey! I'm Lily Drome (Yeah, I don't like my last name either *smile*). I'm 17 and going into my senior year. I'm 5'5' with short brown hair with blonde highlights, sky blue eyes, and oh, I'm a tomboy. I love math and band, I'm not a geek, but most of my friends are. I've liked Erik since freshman year. I've only talked to him like 6 times.
---Intro--- Erik's POV
Heya! The names Erik Neson (Sounds like Nissan). I turned 17 four months before Lily, and I'm also going into my senior year. Last I checked I was 6 foot even, I have jet black hair and green eyes. I'm quite popular due to my great looks, and mad baseball skills. I've been crushing on Lily since we were sophomores. I don't talk to her too much, even though I want to.
~~~~~Chapter 1~~~~~
---Lily's POV
I was shooting hoops when he pulled into her driveway. 'Why is he here?' I thought, 'Oh, yeah, it's Luke's (my now 12 year old brother) birthday party'
"Hey Matt" I said, as a short kid with shaggy blonde hair, hops out of the bright red cobalt. Matt is his brother, and I'm better friends with Matt than him.
"Hey" Matt said.
"Luke's inside, you can go through the garage." I said thrusting a thumb behind me to the door inside the garage.
I turned my attention to the guy with black hair and green eyes walking towards me. "Hey Erik" I said.
"Hey"
'Does he really hate me that much?' I thought. "How ya been?"
"Fine" he said.
Now I started getting mad. 'Why does he do that?! Am I not cool enough to have a real conversation with him?!' I thought. "Good" I said and started walking away.
"Wait"
I turned around with an annoyed look on my face, "Yeah?"
---Erik's POV
"Um, I was wondering... Would ya want to hang out today?" I asked as I studied her tomboyish apparel, the black shorts that hung past her knees, the green stripped tank top, and to top it off, the black low tops.
"What?"
"Well, I'd like to become better friends, I mean we go to the same school, and we have the same schedule." I tried explaining, I've never been very good at lying.
"Uh, okay. We've known each other for three years, why start now?" she asked skeptically.
Trying to think of a logical excuse, I finally said, "I haven't been very nice to you the past year and a half. You see some of my friends..." I stopped short. 'Don't like you, and some like you a little too much' I finished in my head.
She crossed her arms "I get it, I'm not popular, I'm not pretty, I know some of your friends, and compared to them, I'm nobody."
"No! That's not it at all!" I said quickly. "It's the exact opposite of that" I said so softly, that she could only pick out a few words.
"What?"
I smiled and said, "Nothing."
"Uh, okay" she was confused, I could tell by the way she wrinkled her brow. I liked when she did that.
"Never mind. Anyway, would ya like to go somewhere for lunch?" I asked hopeful.
"Uh, sure." She said perhaps wondering what she had gotten herself into.
~Flashback~
"Yo Erik" said Austin.
"What's up man?"
"Not much, you?"
"Well, there's the wicked history exam that I haven't even looked at and..."
"...I've been thinking about her," he cut in.
Erik was a little mad, because one, he wasn't able to finish talking and two he knew right away who Austin was talking about. Her. Lily. The girl he was crushing on. The girl he could never have.
"Have you told her how you feel?" asked Erik a bit irritated.
"Nope"
"Why?"
"Because, there is no way she'd like me back" Austin said.
"Why?"
"Because she's madly in love with you" he said while shaking his head sadly.
"Yeah, right."
"Are you kidding? She totally likes you, I've seen the look she gets in her eyes when you two talk." he said longingly.
"Uh, okay, but I would never pursue her."
"Why?"
"Because I could never do that to you."
