Never Looking Back
A poem about the human influence on each other and the earth the poem has been changed a bit also the poem is written in free form it is my first online submission plz comment.
The fire dims and turns to ash as the apple rots on the side of the drain as the light fades our hearts sink as we watch those who thrive on the excreted fear of those less fortunate than themselves.
I look around and see nothing but clouds belowing across a once beautiful field where the grass was green it is now brown where the wishing well stood now stands a pit of sorrow much like the one in mother earths heart.
Are we really this careless? Stepping on those less fortunate than ourselves leaving them for dead in the middle of the road never looking back to fix what was done.
To wonder these baron plains fills my heart with pain as I watch the acid rain falls from the pitch black skies. Even though they are lit up by the light pollution.
The clouds still below swallowing me whole as we watch ourselves drift away to never look back is to never move forward to always take the easy way out my heart sinks I fell my soul leaving my body as all remorse fades death is in ement what will it take to turn you all back how many have to die if you would just look back.
