Never Good Enough...
A poem, how some feel when they're rejected. Please comment, good or bad.
Thrown around together, all her thoughts collide
Tears stream down her cheeks as she thinks of her hell
Wondering how she could’ve ignored her own warning bell
She only wanted one kiss, one smile, a simple touch
But to him, all this seemed a bit too much
Now she sits in her room, surrounded in her pain
Wondering if this will keep happening over and over again
The rejection, the hurt, the pain she felt
At that very moment her heart started to melt
The burning sensation was no longer of lust
She wanted the feelings, the thoughts to be faded to dust
She looks in the mirror, at the girl staring back
Wondering what it is that she seems to lack
She looks deeper at every inch of her face
Wondering if she’ll have the courage to end this sad race.
