Never Ends

A few more gulps and sanity will rise
Hide lil sis in the closet
Its ok just close your eyes
It will be over soon

He comes screaming my name
She cries and says don’t go
I walk away not looking back,
He runs at me looking pretty insane

He hits me a few times in the face
I’m drifting off
He picks me up and slams me around
I’m drifting off to my happy place

All I see is a white light now
Its getting closer
I can’t die I have to wake up somehow
I kick and I run the other way
I scream I can’t and wont die today

I wake up a few hours later
Blood all over my face
I’m scared to look for my lil sis
But I need to find her
I look and look
And there I find her huddled in the library nook

I grab and hold her tight
She cries, and pleads
And I whisper it’s all right

But truth be told this will happen again tomorrow night
