Need For Speed is a racing game in which the player chooses cars and then races on various tracks. It was and is highly playable due to the simplicity of controls and existence of a thin progressive knack in the game.

Here are the cheats for Need For Speed Carbon for the PS2

The Need for Speed: Carbon Special Vinyl Logos can be unlocked by pressing Up, Up, Down,

Down, Down, Down and Square.

For infinite crew charge, press Down, Up, Up, Right, Left, Left, Square.

You can unlock Sal after you complete four or six races.
Yumi joins you after you defeat Bushido/Kenji.
Defeating Wolf or TFK gets you Colin.
Angie defeated means the unlocking of Samson.
When you defeat all three beginning bosses, Nikki joins you.

You can get the following cars by completing the following achievements:

Aston Martin DB9 (Exotic): Defeat Wolf in Boss Battle mode.
Dodge Charger RT Classic (Muscle): Defeat the 21st Muscle Car Gang.
Jaguar XK 2007 (Exotic): Complete all three Turf War races.
Mazda RX7 (Tuner): Defeat Kenji in Boss Battle mode.
Nissan 240SX (Tuner): Complete all three Checkpoint challenges.

You can get infinite nitrous if you press Left, Up, Left, Down, Left, Down, Right and Square at the title screen.

Cars with a high top speeds are good for drag races. The cars with good handling and controls are best for drift races, while normal racing requires cars with a equal balance of speed and controls.

Players can win the Lincoln Connector race by forcing the computer into the first shortcut. This will make the computer's car to freeze in the path.

Changing lanes and bumping into cars during drag races can give players extra boost during drag races.

During drag races, if you rev the acceleration and then stop for a couple of split seconds, you will receive the message 'Perfect Launch' or 'Good Launch'.

Completing the any race with a gold medal will unlock bonus parts for the cars.During the Nitrous Run race, when you have only two or three seconds, use all the nitrous at the car at the gate. The car will keep running even if the timer has stopped and there are chances that you get a nitrous boost refill.
