Colon cleansing is the method of removing waste and toxins from the colon. There are many ways of cleansing the colon. Here are some recipes for natural colon cleansing.
Natural Colon Cleansing Recipes
The theory behind colon cleansing is that the food we eat leaves many residues, which stick to the walls of the intestine, forming a breeding ground for parasites. This allows the absorption of waste materials into the blood, which can affect the overall health. Hence, it is very important to cleanse the colon. Even though this theory has no scientific backing, colon cleansing has become very popular among the masses. Colon cleansing is a term which covers a variety of methods employed to remove the waste materials and the toxins accumulated in the walls of the colon. These include colon hydrotherapy, in which liquids are injected into the rectum and the colon, through the anus. Sometimes, herbs are also added to the liquids. The other method is the oral intake of a wide range of materials, which help to achieve this purpose.

The materials commonly used for colon cleansing through oral intake are herbs, laxatives and dietary fiber and supplements. Even though ready-made colon cleansing kits are available, most people are interested in natural colon cleansing or colon cleansing through the intake of natural materials. The most commonly used materials are psyllium husks, flax seeds, probiotics, apple juice, citrus juice, fiber powder, bentonite clay, fennel, garlic bulb, turkey rhubarb, curacao, cape aloe leaf, cascara sagrada, barberry root bark, ginger rhizome and cayenne pepper.
