Natural Care for Sensitive Skin
Does your skin develop rashes immediately after it is exposed to pollution or certain cosmetics? Then it is quite likely that you have a sensitive skin. As most of the skin products available in the market contain chemicals, it would be beneficial if you go the natural way of skin care.
There are some safe methods and products which can be used to take care of a sensitive skin and which can be made from things that are easily found at home. Rather than using harsh soaps and face washes to cleanse the face, one should opt for almond and jojoba oil. One can also make an exfoliating facial cream by mixing oatmeal with grapes. Instead of harsh beauty products, people with sensitive skin can make their own creams and facial masks, with yogurt, cucumber and fruits. If one experiences any kind of skin reaction or allergy, one can apply aloe vera directly to that part of the skin.
If one has sensitive skin, one will have to make certain changes in eating habits. To have healthy and good looking skin, one must eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Eating foods which are oily and spicy can have negative effects on sensitive skin. So it would be better to avoid eating such foodstuff. Eating healthy food and drinking plenty of water helps in keeping skin problems away.
It is very important for people having a sensitive skin to stay away from products that contain dangerous chemicals. However, it does not mean that they cannot use any lotion or cream or wear make up. Nowadays, there are lots of companies which manufacture products that have natural ingredients. Using these products will reduce the risk of negative reactions on the skin. There are some important things that people have to keep in mind while looking for a beauty product made of natural ingredients. Most cosmetics contain artificial or synthetic fragrance and also artificial colors. However, a good natural organic skin care product will contain essential oils including sandalwood, olive, chamomile, lavender, neroli and tea tree oil. Moreover, it would also not have artificial colors.
When one buys a beauty product or cosmetic that claims to be made especially for sensitive skin, one must first apply it to a small part of the skin and observe whether there are any reactions within 24 hours. This test is required because certain natural products also contain chemicals that can harm the skin. One can also try herbal products which contain herbs like comfrey and bearberry to avoid allergies or rashes. Opting for a skin care regime directly form mother nature would surely help in safeguarding sensitive skin.
