Natural acne cure: avoid the common mistakes

Are you having difficulties curing acne naturally? Make sure you avoid these cardinal sins.
Do you sin?

Curing acne naturally can be tough. Many acne sufferers make it even more difficult by committing these three cardinal sins: going to acne forums for advice, not thinking holistically and instant gratification.

GOING TO ACNE FORUMS FOR ADVICE

Let me tell you a cooking story. Mary, John and Mike set to make mashed potatoes.

Mary has cooked before so she almost hit the mark. She just forgot to add salt. As typical bachelors Mike and John never ventured beyond microwave and have no cooking experience. Mike forgets the whole thing on the stove and burns it. John confuses potatoes with peas.

As you can imagine none of the three mashed potatoes taste good. Mary learns that adding salt often makes dishes taste better. And like magic her mashed potatoes taste good.

With glee she tells Mike and John that salt makes mashed potatoes taste good. So they add some salt.

Did the mashed potatoes Mike and John made now taste good?

I'll let you be the judge of that.

You may think that has nothing to do with acne.

Funny enough acne forums are full of cases like that.

Somebody comes and types with big, bold font that they finally found a solution for acne. The story usually starts with how after many years of research and testing they found a solution that work. By the way, research usually means talking to other people who have no idea how to cure acne. And reading articles sponsored by supplement makers. Testing means buying every supplement they got their hands on until something finally got them clear. The supplement usually corrected some deficiencies that lead to acne.

So you get excited and spend some of your hard-earned money on the supplement. Yet, nothing happens. Pimples still stare back at you from the mirror. You sink back into desperation - until you see the next big, bold message.

So the cycle continues. You keep spending your money and riding on emotional roller coaster.

That leads us to the next sin.

NOT THINKING HOLISTICALLY

Fact: there are thousands of ways you can get acne. Acne is a complex disease and you can't pin it down to one or few simple elements.

There's only one way to cure acne naturally that works for everybody and every time.

But let's return to cooking. As you know Mike's and John's mashed potatoes are beyond salvation. The only way for them to get great tasting mashed potatoes is to start over. And this time with a good recipe.

When it comes to acne many of us have burned our mashed potatoes badly. No amount of dabbling with supplements or special regimens helps. You have to start from a clean slate.

First you have to wash the pots and pans. Meaning to get rid of toxins and other garbage that's creating havoc. The next step in curing acne naturally is to rebuild your health. Bit by bit and putting in all the ingredients.

INSTANT GRATIFICATION

The Dip is an excellent book by Seth Godin.

The dip means the obstacles and barriers you have to conquer before you reach your goal. The dip is in front of any goal worthwhile aiming for. You can count clear skin into that category.

But when it comes to curing acne you are constantly bombarded with quick and easy solutions.

When I look at the way acne products are sold I can't help to think of weight loss products. Everybody knows that those weight loss pills and fad diets don't work. Everybody besides those desperate to loose weight.

Real, sustainable weight loss is possible. You can also cure acne naturally and permanently. It just takes little time, persistence and effort.

It doesn't happen overnight and you can't buy it from infomercials.
