Last year on New Year's eve, Zoe met the man of her dreams, or so she thought. Complete with butterflies in the stomach, wobbly knees, shivers and chills every time the guy smiled, she thought, "This has to be love." Everyone in love believes in miracles and superstition, so she went to her mac book and started her search on name compatibility tests. After utilizing the spare time between the lovey-dovey phone calls, she came to the conclusion that these tests that checked whether they were the perfect soul-mates, were a scam. After all they showed 23% compatibility. Now, ten months down the line, they are happily married. How could that be possible with 23% compatibility?

Most newly in love couples, whether they admit it or not, at least once check their compatibility level using numerous name compatibility tests and quizzes. I just have a question, do you really believe that a name compatibility quiz will really manage to tell you whether it will last or not? Anyhow, I'm guessing with the lack of anything less constructive, you decided to check your compatibility level. So I'm going to humor you but let me warn you this is unlike any other compatibility test you may have taken.

Here is what you do, get your hand on a piece of paper and a pen. Now write down your name and under that write the name of that special someone. In the center, write loves, so it reads like Juliet loves Romeo. Then you first strike out all the alphabets that are repeated in your names. (By the way, this is a first name compatibility test.) So that means that two 'E's, two 'O's and two 'L's get stroked out. So, that leaves you with 10 alphabets. Now denote the respective numeric number to the remaining alphabets for example 'R' is 18, 'U' is 21, 'I' is 9, 'T' is 20, 'V' is 22, 'E' is 5, 'S' is 19, 'O' is 15 and finally 'M' is 13. These numbers represent numeric position of the alphabets. Now just sum up the numbers and you get 142. So now you know Juliet and Romeo were 34% compatible. What's your compatibility count?
