Mysticalia: The Dark Adventure Chapter 1
Hey guys!!! I decided to ditch my efforts at A Marriage for Jeana. I just wasn't feeling my character. Here is a new story about a magical land called Mysticalia. Please comment, I listened to your advice and made the chapter way longer.
Hi, my name is Victoria Danvier, and I believe that we may have met before. You see, I am not supposed to exist, but I come alive when least expected. In your dreams, I am the beautiful and often unattainable princess. My castle is the most elegant and spacious in all the land; however, something is missing. A war has erupted and that nothing, not even, death can stop. It will be a fight to the death I fear. My sister reunited the twin crystals that keep the peace in our world, but they no longer seem to be doing their job. Something has disrupted the delicate balance of good and evil yet again; someone will have to salvage what is left of our Utopian society. The only problem is that I am not sure where I belong in this battle.
My sister, Carissa, and I share a mother. Our mother was the prized jewel of Mysticalia, and she was to one day rule with grace and civility. She married Carissa's father on her eighteenth birthday, and I am told that they were practically inseparable. Their union yielded Carissa, the perfect child who would be the ruler of our country now if she hadn't declined the position. Obviously, their marriage was not enough for Racheil Hanson ( unusual name I know). Yeah, so you noticed that I don't have the same last name as her? Well, that is because my wonderful mother did the unthinkable. The queen of magic gave her heart, soul, and body to Addison Danvier, the forbidden. Addison, aka my "father", was evil in every way mentionable and way too powerful a force to be reckoned with. Thus, the dilemma I find myself faced with now.
Friend, I am a product of their dangerously passionate affair, and I just so happen to be the only remaining heir to the throne. I have both good and evil flowing through my veins. I disowned my father when I first discovered the truth of his existence. My mother died while giving birth to me, the cost of delivering the spawn of the evil one. My older sister had no clue that Mysticalia even existed until she moved here to rescue her son about a year ago, let alone that she had a sister two and a half years her junior. So where does that leave me? Thanks for asking. By the way you asked for it!
I am neither vampire like my father or an enchantress like my mother who defied her people to get what she wanted most. My blood is a mixture of everything that exists in Mysticalia. When a vampire and an enchantress mate, and hybrid is formed. When that vampire is not full blooded, something far more drastic occurs. The powers that I possess are equivalent to those of a fairy, an enchantress, a vampire, a werewolf, and elf, a mage, a mediator, and a time traveler combined. The difference between a mage and an enchantress is not always evident, so I will clarify the distinction before confusion can officially take root in your minds. A mage can control elements and anything that is derived from them; their magic is the most basic science, involving mixtures(aka potions) and wands. On the other hand, enchanters/enchantresses can control every aspect of life as we know it, including the emotions of another individual. However, neither of these powers are my favorite. I enjoy time traveling. That is how I met and got to know my mother. Of course she didn't know that I was her daughter at the time, but being able to see her face and hear her laugh was enough for me.
Now that I have shared my history, you can understand why I see no clear path for my future. And the news only gets worse from there. It seems that I may be the unknown force causing the pink and green crystals to malfunction. Therefore I have been banned from the castle, which has been my home for the last five years of my life. The gems control the peace and harmony in our land, so naturally other citizens are having difficulties with trust where I am concerned. To top that off, my annoying pest of a best friend wants to take our "relationship" to the next level.
My eighteenth birthday is in less than a month, and I have so much to accomplish. I must find a way to stop the darkness from spreading, and finally prove to myself and my future subjects that I am not a threat to the delicate balance of nature. Whoever said that fairy tales always end in happily ever after must have been hooked on something far more potent than anything I have experienced....
