Mystic of Light (Phase 3)

The flirtatious acquaintance can't seem to shake off the young princess! Sorry it took me so long to submit! x_x
MYSTIC OF LIGHT PHASE 3

"Wait!" The young girl stood for what seemed to be an eternity, before realizing what happened. He did hear me when I said my name, She reflected, as she stared in the direction the guy had left, about 15 minutes ago. "What do I do now?" She asked herself. A little voice in her head answered for her: Go find him! You know you want to. I do not! Well, maybe to prove him wrong about this being the last time we meet. And with that, the little girl ran off in the direction, she had hoped to find that guy on.

"So you interested in going to the Festival with me?" A teenage black guy around 15-years-old asked, this being the fourth girl today, he’s hit on.

"I’m sorry, Spicer? Aren’t you the same guy who was asking out that woman, over there?" The girl pointed to a woman, sitting by the fountain, reading a book.

Spicer glanced over at the woman. She was much older than him and he was, indeed, hitting on her, when she retreated to the water fountain. "She’s way too old for me. I was just suggesting she move to the… heh?" Girl number four had taken the chance to get away from him. "Aw, come ON!" He scowled. At least she remembered my name, but am I that uninteresting? The first girl he tried, dashed hot coffee in his face before he could get a word out and the second girl had somehow figured out he wasn’t working. But I probably coulda had her if that brat hadn’t interrupted, he thought, referring to the young girl he met earlier. Lia, huh? She didn't really look like a Lia...

"Well, after the Nylon Festival, I’m outta here!" Spicer announced and treaded toward a gypsy down the street.

"Ugh! Where is he?" The little girl name Lia cried. He moves fast! She turned a corner and rested by a water fountain. And here I was, thinking I would be able to catch to him. Maybe he didn’t stop to… And there he was; Lia spotted a black dot a few yards away, in an alley. …chat with girls. He was babbling away at some gypsy girl. He looked to be pestering her, as usual, but at the same time, she looked to be trying to get away from him, more out of fear than annoyance. Lia raced over to them. He is persistent, but he doesn’t seem to be a bad guy, lady, she thought, but then she saw the reason, the gypsy was so scared. A group of about three muscled men, drew near them. Lia reached the alley just in time to hear the exchange.

"You messing with my girl, punk?" The middle one, who was obviously the leader posed. The other two goons stepped forward and Lia gulped. She believed this was going to get ugly. Which it probably would have, if not for the gypsy’s quick intrusion.

"NO!" She called, looking back and forth between Spicer and her muscled men. "He was relaying hidden info to me about the cops. Something came up with the normal carrier and he’s taking his place."

She’s good! Too bad. She probably woulda gone out with me… Spicer thought, as the gypsy herded them in the opposite direction. As if she heard his thoughts, the gypsy ran back and pressed her lips to Spicer’s. "Your welcome," she said as she left with the men.

"Wow…" Spicer sighed. A big grin spread across his face. "A girl who actually liked me!" He jumped up, punching the air with all his might.

"Yeah! I’m surprised too!"

Spicer looked down and saw Lia, with arms crossed, standing before him. "Heh? Oh, it’s just you, kid."

Grrr...

Crnch! "AHH!" Spicer screamed, grabbing his foot, and hopping up and down in agony. "YOU STEPPED ON MY FOOT, you little-"

"LIA! It’s not kid, it’s not squirt! It’s Lia, my name is Lia!"

"Who gives a shit?! Stop following me, Lia!"

"Hmph! Looks like the womanizer can’t take it when a girl’s chasing him."

"Whatever. You’re a child!"

"I’m still a girl and… I’m lost." Lia focused on the concrete. Okay, not actually lost, but I am mentally. I look like a child, when right now I really want to be the 16-year-old girl I am!

"Ugh," Spicer watched the 7-year-old , who was having a staring contest with the floor. "Fine. But as soon as we find someone you know, I’m leaving you with them. K?" Lia nodded. "Good, let’s go." He led the way down the alley and turned the corner. He suddenly stopped and Lia, who bumped into him, looked around to see why they halted.

It was the muscled men from before and, from the looks on their faces, they hadn’t bought the gypsy’s story and were just waiting for her to leave before coming back for them. They had just spotted Spicer and Lia and were coming fast.

"This isn’t good. Come on," Spicer whispered behind him and turned to cross the street. Lia, on the other hand, didn’t move; just sat frozen like an icicle. "WHAT ARE DOING?!" Spicer cried, grabbing her from where she stood and darting across the street, toward an empty parking lot.
