Mysterious Love
Only fools rush in.

An enchanted word that speaks to my soul,
And filters through my imagination,
I seem to have fallen under your spell.
You move like a shadow, so dark and silent,
Yet you shine a light of purest gold,
Devil or angel, which one are you?
Will you raise me to Heaven or will I fall?
You've romanced the love from many good hearts,
And drew the blood from many stones,
You always seem to get what you desire,
Now you desire me and I can't say no.
My heart's confused and my mind is troubled,
Should I give in, or resist your charm?
Does your offer contain the answer?
Will it leave me cold or will it keep me warm?
Mysterious lady, so invitingly beautiful,
Do you really exist, or are you just a dream?
A silent whisper of a love resurrected,
Or the deafening shrill of a heartaches scream?
To love another is to free the soul, I know,
But the wrong lover can leave you so cold,
Your chemistry that plays my heartstrings,
Stands me at uncertainty's crossroads.
I need time to ponder this dilemma,
I need to be certain within my heart,
I cannot rush in head over heels,
I have lost to false love too often in the past.
If you should love me then set me free,
And if my heart pines, then I shall return,
And if not, then I was never yours,
But if I do, then our love will burn.
