My True Hero

Poem about my best friend Kristi Lewis who has been in Iraq for over a year...
So long you've been gone,
It seems more than a year.
How many lives were saved
Because you were not here.
The sacrifice you made,
The promise that you kept
The fight to save our country
I will never forget.
At times throughout the year,
You seemed so far away
-Almost like a dream-
Yet, you are the reason for the freedom
That we enjoy to this day.
We lives our lives, we sleep at night
All because of you..
You never back down, you stand your ground
You're the true RED WHITE and BLUE!!
