My Sweetheart's Virtue
This is a love poem written by Lesiba Mabukela.
My sweetheart’s virtue.
She is so scenic like thyme,
Her beauty that tantalizes on due,
As she speaks with sotto voice.
Wearin’ a sorrel dress,
When we wander within wallflowers.
You sentenced my kiss,
As my lips come closer to yours.
So verily we kissed no matter turmoil,
Yet we were so serene and tranquil.
Even though you seemed to toil,
As though you like a person who vigil.
Comin’ to wallflowers that accompanied vine.
Havin’ me by your side
And drinkin’ that sweet wine.
Such blissful moments seemed not to fade.
Such love was like serendipity,
It was love tranquility.
She is so scenic like thyme,
Her beauty that tantalizes on due,
As she speaks with sotto voice.
Wearin’ a sorrel dress,
When we wander within wallflowers.
You sentenced my kiss,
As my lips come closer to yours.
So verily we kissed no matter turmoil,
Yet we were so serene and tranquil.
Even though you seemed to toil,
As though you like a person who vigil.
Comin’ to wallflowers that accompanied vine.
Havin’ me by your side
And drinkin’ that sweet wine.
Such blissful moments seemed not to fade.
Such love was like serendipity,
It was love tranquility.
