MY STORY Chapter 9

OK, so tell me how I did.
MY STORY Chapter 9
Thanks, Ciriat. I totally agree. :D
I decided to make things go…faster because it’s what ya’ll seemed to want…tell me if I did it OK. ^^

The dress she picked out was awesome. It was black, and short, but not too short. Could she tell that I was still too uncomfortable to show too much skin? It was long sleeved, too, which made me even happier.
It was skin tight, though, when I tried it on. She gave me some black leggings and when we went to the shoes, she picked out some red pumps that I would have never worn with the dress.
Kris teased me for a while, then went to pick out her own dress.
She came up with a creamy white strapless dress with the skirt barely reaching halfway down her thigh. The color looked really good with her skin. She put on some flats and I looked at them jealously. My feet would be killing me by the end of the night.
We both changed back into our regular clothes. We would have another two hours or so till we had to leave, and we decided to go play video games.

Kris came into the room, soda in hand, and told me that we had twenty minutes to get ready.
"What?" I said, in a daze.
"Twenty minutes! We have to hurry!" she said, and bustled around the room while I looked at her, tired, from the bed. "Come on!! Hurry! Here, take this," she said, handing me her soda. "You need caffeine and sugar, now! Chug, woman!"she yelled, and ran into the closet to change. She came out presentable, and went to the makeup mirror to put on her eye liner.
"Get dressed," she barked at me, and I went to the closet to pull on the tight dress and stockings. I was just putting my feet in the shoes when she opened the door and pulled me out so she could make my face up and fix my hair. She left it curly, falling down past my shoulders.
"Thanks, Kris." I said drowsily. She grinned, pulled me up, and looked me up and down. The grin grew.
"You look hot." She said, and bounced to the adjoining room.
I guzzled the soda and my eyes widened as the carbonation hit me all at once.

We left without Erik. She told me that he would get there later, but I dunno if I trusted her.
Getting there, it was a club, not the innocent little party in someone’s house I’d envisioned. I should have known better.
We were let in immediately, without anyone asking for ID. "I come here a lot," Kris said, explaining.
We came directly into the pulsing group of people, dancing to the music, oblivious to everything.
"You want something to drink?" Kris yelled over the music.
I nodded, and Kris left me there. I hadn’t thought this through.
I went to the couches in the corner and sat, resting my already aching feet.
"Aren’t you going to dance?" a deep voice asked from beside me. I jumped, and looked at him. Tension eased out of me when I saw that it was just Erik.
He grinned and sat down beside me, arm going over my shoulders immediately.
"How you been?" he asked, trying to nonchalantly look me over.
"Good, since the two hours I saw you last." I said sarcastically. He grinned and kissed my cheek.
"Good. Now come dance with me." He said. I glared at him, but got up and did.
It was like any other club. It was crowded and loud. Music pulsed around us, our movements matching the beat. The colored lights moved, providing a bit of light in the darkness.
Erik was behind me, holding me close, leading me to dance with the beat. I started out with my movements tired and sluggish, but soon, as the song changed again, I found myself moving just as Erik moved, arms going up behind me, grabbing hold of his neck, and pulling him down closer to my face. He managed to kiss me from behind, while still dancing.
His tongue demanded entrance, and I gave it to him. I lost myself in the kiss and the moment, forgetting completely about Felix. I turned around, pressing myself hard against him, him doing the same. We found ourselves at a wall in the back. It was dark enough to provide privacy, but it’s not like we needed it.
Kris came and pried us apart. "We have to go!" she yelled over the music, eyes sparkling with humor at our situation.
"Why?" I yelled, and she tried to explain it. She threw her hands up in frustration when we couldn’t understand her, and waved for us to follow her.
I shrugged up to Erik and we went.
"There’s a council meeting soon." She said, and I understood.
They would determine what sentence to give Felix. According to what I said up on the witness stand. I gulped, and Erik put his arm around my shoulders, leading me to the car.

OK, this chapter is SHORT! But I have to finish the chapter of CARNIES and the council meeting will be a long affair. So, wait for another two weeks, and I’ll be back on the ball. =) (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read CARNIES: a Note)
