The story takes on an unexpected twist.
I changed the story around. Hopefully ya’ll won’t hate it. :) But, now, I can write sum more…

CHAPTER TEN
I didn’t even have a chance to change. So, I went into that crowded courtroom in my ridiculous dress, feeling completely exposed, and clung onto Erik for dear life. I would have to face him.
When we entered the courtroom, all of the people stopped to watch us enter. Felix sat in the chair, standing when we came closer. He had a smug look on his face, his posture confident, and I knew, then and there, that I wouldn’t let him get out free. I would tell them what he did to me, holding nothing back.
Then, someone I hadn’t seen before came in front of Erik and I, pushing us into a small room to the right of the courtroom. He gave us a dark look before leaving, and I knew that he’d get out scotch free because I wouldn’t be able to testify against him.
"Dammit!" I yelled, tears pricking my eyes, and Erik grabbed me around my waist when I tried to run to the door to bang on it.
"No," he said, and whispered calming words into my ears. "Don’t make a peep. If they hear us making too much noise, they’ll punish us. Trust me. I know."
"Wh- How do you know?"
"There was something similar a couple of months ago. Felix wasn’t accused of something this bad, but his gang friends worked something like this together, and the person in here made too much noise. The next time anyone saw him, he was nearly beaten to death, left to die in an alley." He shook his head. "I don’t know when Felix got this bad."
"Well, how do we get out?"
"I dunno." He let me go and walked to the walls, feeling them with his hands. "There has to be another door in here somewhere. Something. Look for air vents, too."
"Okay," I said, shaking slightly as I felt on the walls like he was, using the wall to help me stand up.
"I found something," he said a few minutes later.
I went over to him and saw him peeling back thick paper, showing a door hidden beneath it. He opened it, and bright light shined in, shocking me, making me stumble back. Erik came up behind me quickly, hands on my hips, keeping me from falling.
"I don’t know what’s up with me," I whispered, throat hoarse.
"It’s OK. Come on." He said, and led me through the doorway.
We came into a stark white hallway, bright lights shining from the ceiling, making looking around almost impossible.
"Let’s see where this leads."He said, and I agreed with the tone of his voice. What would it hurt?
We came up on a door to the right, painted a dark, dark red. I reached out to the doorknob, hand shaking, and was stopped softly by Erik’s warm hand. He opened the door, and it swung to the wall with a bang. I stumbled back, hitting the wall and falling to the floor, eyes opened wide despite my efforts to close them. It was the room. The bed was made, room clean, but it was definitely the room.
I saw Erik stumble back a few steps, blinking rapidly, a shocked expression on his face.
"No way," he said, and his expression changed into one of pure hatred. He stormed into the room and picked up the night table, tossing it across the room, making a dent in the wall. I watched, dazed, as he trashed the entire room, nothing left unturned.
A flash of light appeared behind him, drawing my undivided attention. Felix appeared behind him, and evil grin on his face. "No," I whispered.
"Hey, brother," he said, and Erik turned around slowly, fists by his sides.
He glared at his older brother, while Felix grinned at him.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, let’s see," he said, sitting on the bed, comfortable. "Their key witness disappeared, and the evidence supporting the other case was mysteriously compromised." His grin widened, "And they compensated me for my troubles when they found out that I had been falsely accused of such acts. I wonder what they’ll do when they find incriminating evidence in your room, little brother."
"Bastard." He growled.
"No, that’s you, remember?" Felix snapped. "Damn, I’m so fucking tired of you being the star brother, while I’m the one who’s the real fucking son of this family! What did you ever do? Your father was a fucking drunk, and he died in a fucking car crash when a semi came down the highway."
Erik looked shocked. I was stunned at how much profanity he’d used, but I think Erik was surprised for a whole different reason.
"What did you say?" He growled, fists clenched even tighter.
"You heard me." He said, mockingly. "What, you didn’t know that, little brother?" He laughed. "You heard me right. Your dad was a crazy affair for our oh-so innocent mother, and he was a fucking drunk. He’s dead, and my dad was never yours. All that love, that time he’d spent with you was because of pity."
"You’re lying."
"Why would I do that, brother?"
I finally noticed that he was saying brother in a mocking tone. Erik’s eyes went dark, and he lost it.
His fists flew in the air, a deep, resounding thud echoing in the room with every hit. He punched his face, then his gut, moving so fast, he didn’t have time to defend himself. Felix tried to jump out of there, but Erik punched him hard, while holding on to his neck roughly. Felix screamed with rage.
"That’s right. I found your weak spot. You can’t run now." Erik didn’t sound like himself. Felix fell onto the floor, landing on his back, trying to crawl backwards, but Erik stomped his chest with his foot. "Where are you going?" He said.
I swallowed hard and pulled my legs close to my chest as I watched Erik beat Felix to death.
**Erik’s POV**
I was on top of Felix, fists pounding his chest so hard I could feel the muscle turn to pudding.
"Do you feel sorry at all for what you did to them? For what you did to Skylar? Do you see her? Look at her." I said, grabbing hold of his hair and pulling his head up to make him look through the doorway.
Sky’s eyes were dark, expression hopeless. It was little better than she had been right after the incident, but she was making excruciatingly slow progress.
"No. I don’t." He said to Skylar.
Her eyes narrowed, that fire lit in them again, that fire I hadn’t seen for what seemed like years.
"What did you say?"She asked, standing up slowly.
"I said, I’m not sorry for it."
She walked slowly through the doorway, glaring at Felix. I let go of his hair and stepped back.
She looked down at him, eyes shining fury. "Do you have any idea of what it feels like? What you do when you do something like that? You take away all hope. You make people completely hopeless. Like they have absolutely no control over their own life. Do you know how that feels?" She put her foot on his neck, and he struggled to breathe. "Do you!?"Her foot came down harder, and his hands tried to push it away. He blocked out, and she took her foot off.
"Why’d you do that?"
"It’ll be more torture for him to live when everyone finds out the truth." She said, and stormed off.
I handcuffed him to the iron bar going from the ceiling to the floor.
She came back, and pulled me with her, muttering something about not knowing where she was going.
