My Story - 7

Chapter 7...
I gasp and kiss Jeremy back, falling back under his spell. He tastes like cigarettes and caramel. Sweet. But it's not the taste I'm looking for. I like Root beer and cinnamon rolls. Remy's taste, though he likes neither. I push Jeremy back.

"What the hell?!"

"C'mon.... you know you liked it." Jeremy said, walking back toward me.

"No I didn't. I'm with Remy." I don't know if one kiss on the floor of the movie theater counts as being together but Remy told him that so I'm going with it.

Jeremy slid his hands around my hips. "Right now, I don't really care about Remy." He hoists me up on the sink and steps between my legs. "So how 'bout we just-"

"What's going on here?"

I turn my head, hoping not to see a teacher. Instead I see Remy. Even worse.

I push Jeremy away, jump down, and move towards Remy. I decide to act cool.

"Nothing's going on here. Jeremy was just leaving." But I could tell from the expression on Remy's face that he wants an explanation and right now he's looking at me with accusing eyes. I change my mind and go for the truth. "It was all Jeremy! He pulled me in here and KISSED me. I was innocent. On my way to the office and thanks to him, I might be in even more trouble." I probably shouldn't have told Remy that Jeremy kissed me. That would make him even madder.....er..more mad. Whatever. Remy takes my arm and draws me against his side.

"I thought I told you what would happen if you ever even LOOKED at her again." Remy says. There he goes again. The overprotective friend.

Jeremy smirks. "She knows she wanted it." Ha! "Plus, I've been dying to tap that-"

Remy punches him and they end up in a full-fledged fight.

"Oh crap!!" I say "Remy get off of him!" Since I'm not one to stand on the sidelines while two idiots try to beat each other to a up, I join in. I wrap my arms around Remy's middle and pull him back. I know this will stop him because he'd never let me get hurt in the middle of a fight. Remy rolls off Jeremy and onto his feet. I straighten and move toward Remy to let him really have it but I forget Jeremy is still on the floor and trip over him. Remy bends over me with a smirk on his face. "Are you okay?" I can tell he's trying not to laugh.

"Yes I'm okay!! Why do you keep fighting him. You could get into a lot of trouble." He's not even listening to me. He holds out a hand for me to take and pulls me up.

He leans over Jeremy. "Now that you see that I'm serious, I think you should leave now."

'Whatever" Jeremy stands up and looks at me. "See ya, baby." Then he walks out.

Remy reaches for me and I jump back. "No. I got a date with the principal. I'll see you later." Shaking my head so he sees I'm pissed at him, I walk out.

I'm not really mad at him but I want him to to think I am.

He needs to know that I can fight my own battles. And I can.
