My Revenge (Chapter 2)

"Now what do you mean by that dear?"

I decided to come flat out with it. I look up at the man that had my family killed.

"I mean that I am as skilled in killing as you. Just give me a chance to kill someone and I will."

"Not quite dear."

"What are you doing here? Is my time up?"

"Not yet. I need you to do a job for me."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you are as you say, ‘a killer’, and you wouldn’t want your only sister to die."

I was standing up now. Diana was still alive? How can that be true? He has to be lying.

"Lies"

"I am not. Here."

He handed me a tape and I watched. It was Diana. She was saying everything will be fine if I found the "Shadow". It was a computer virus, strong enough to hack the governments programs. She said I needed to go to a rich man’s mansion, break in, steal it, and meet them in Chicago, and we will do a trade. The last thing she said was that she loved me and will see me soon.

When I turned around, the man was gone. There was a sheet of paper with his address and a deadline. Today was Friday, February 13th. I had to have "Shadow" by the 17th! Four days!

I decided to pack for it and head off tomorrow. There was also a small rectangular box on the bed. Inside was a black rose and a not that said,
"Happy Birthday dark angel.

I dropped the card instantly and almost fell when I felt arms around me. I turned around to see to the man in my dreams, only to find out he was my age. His hair was a dark brown, his eyes were a heavenly blue, and he was smiling at my reaction.

"I have watched you for a while now. I have fallen in love with you."

Before I knew it we were kissing. He laid me softly on the bed and kept kissing me.
