My Own - Chapters 5 and 6

Chapter 5

I wake up and turn on my side and look at Kyle. He's still sleeping. I'm not mad anymore, I mean it was a mistake. I kiss him and he starts kissing back. He has to go to football tryouts today. He's really good and he has to be there in two hours. I pull away and he looks at me.

"Babe you have to get up, you have tryouts in two hours."
"Okay I'm up." He says and I get out of bed. We didn't do anything last night so I'm still decent, but I put on shorts and go downstairs. I make him breakfast sandwich and wrap it up for him. I make him two water bottles and put it in a bag. I walk to the stairs.
"Babe do you want me to make you lunch."
"No, I'll buy or I won't eat."
"Okay." I say and I walk into the kitchen and pack everything. He walks into the kitchen and I look up and he has one of those tight muscle shirts one with no sleeves and basketball shorts and sneakers. He looks really good, wow okay focus Chanel focus. I hand him a bag and he pulls me to him.

"What are you doing today?"
"I don't know hang out with the girls and clean this house and the bedroom. I might go shopping for new sheets and we need a rug."
"We have carpeted floors."
"I know but it will look nice."
"No babe."
"Fine." I say and he kisses me. I kiss back and he wraps his arms around my waist. I pull away. "Okay you have to go or you're going to be late."

"Okay walk me out." He says and I walk with him to the door. I kiss him one more time. He leaves.
"I love you." I call after him and he turns around and blows me a kiss just, without using his hand. He pulls off and I close the door and lock it. I go into the living room and turn on music really loud. I go upstairs and take a quick shower. I get out and get dressed in capri yoga pants and a sports tank top. I put on socks and start cleaning. I finish the bedroom and put all the clothes in the laundry room and go downstairs and start cleaning down there. I here a knock on the door and walk over and look out of the window it's some guy. I go to the door and open it. It's Tyson one of Kyle's friends, I set him up with Maya my guide. I still feel bad that I was only at her party for like twenty minutes but Kyle's little cousins were at our house. I let him in and he goes to the living room. I turn off the music and sit next to him on the couch. "What's wrong?"

"She cheated on me."
"What?"
"I caught her in bed with some guy named Peter."
"Oh Ty I'm so sorry." I say and hug him.
"How can she do this to me as much as she said never to cheat on her and to break up with her if I loose feelings for her."
"Wow again I'm sorry."
"I just want to do something to get my mind off of things."
"You want to go to bed, bath and beyond with me." I say.

"Yeah why not?" He says and we get up and I put on sneakers and we leave. We get in my car and drive to the store. I park kinda close to the door and we get out and walk in. I go straight to the carts and get one. I start walking around and I see a black and white bed set. I get it and get extra white sheets. I get the matching bathroom stuff and we're done. Our lamps are black so they still match. I pay and we leave. It took us an hour to do everything. Now I have to finish cleaning and cook. We get to my house and Tyson says he's going home to think. I go inside and upstairs and change the bed. I change the bathroom and take all the dirty stuff to the laundry room downstairs.

I start the laundry and go into the kitchen and start cooking. I think I'm going to make mac and cheese and fried chicken. That sounds really good. I guess because I'm pregnant I have weird cravings like I want some pickles for some reason. I finish the food in two hours and open a jar of pickles and sit on the couch and start eating. I finish half of the jar and put it away. I lie down on the couch and watch TV. I hear the door open and more than two footsteps I sit up and look at the door. No, he didn't He invited people home with him, without telling me or preparing are you kidding me and I look a mess, I'm going to kill him. I get up and walk to the foyer. He walks over to me and kisses me. I pull away and he looks at me and I give him my don't even try it look.

"Babe this is Brian and Keith."
"Hey." I say and wave.
"Hi, nice to me you, your man here just made the college football team." I look at him. I jump on him and hug him.
"I'm so proud of you." I say and I notice he's really, really sweaty and smells like feet and axe. I get off of him.
"We're going out to celebrate so I'm going to shower and leave."
"But I made dinner."
"I'll eat now." He says and I roll my eyes.
"Would you guys like something to eat or drink."
"Sure I'm starving." Brian says and I show them to the kitchen table and I make them all plates of food and put it in front of guys.

"I'm going upstairs." I say and I go upstairs and grab my phone. I call Jacey and three-way in Kaia they answer at the same time. "He's being a jerk."
"Wait what?" Jacey says.
"Well we made up yesterday and everything then today he comes home with these guys that are on the football team with him and he's like we're going out to celebrate, after I just cooked and was waiting for him. I mean he could have given me a heads up or something and I can't go out with him because I can't drink or anything."

"You feel alone don't you." Kaia says.
"Yeah, I just want my husband to come home and hang out with me."
"I know it's going to be okay."
"It's not because he most likely has practice tomorrow and I won't get to talk to him until tomorrow night, where he will be dead tired."
"Just wait till Friday when he comes home." Jacey says.
"Okay I will." I say and we hang up. I turn on the TV and put on shorts and a tank top and get in bed. Kyle walks into the room and looks at me, I ignore him and he walks over to me, sits down.
"What's wrong."
"I want to hang out with my husband but it seems like he has better plans."
"Babe I'm going to be gone for like two hours."
"Okay whatever." I say and he sighs.
"I hate when you do that talk to me."

"I don't want you to go, I want you in bed with me cuddling and watching movies and I want you to tell me about your day and what your schedule is going to be, but you go out have fun." I say and he gets up and walks into the bathroom. He walks to the door without a shirt on.
"I already sent them home." He says and I smile.
"Thank you." I say and he smiles and walks back into the bathroom. He comes out five-minutes later in a towel. He walks into the closet and puts on shorts, he walks over to me and lies on the bed in front of me. He lies on his back and I sit on his stomach with one leg on either one side of him. "I love you."

"I love you more." He says and sits up on his elbows and lifts up my shirt and kisses my stomach. "I love you already." He says and I smile. He looks at me and I lean down and bit my bottom lip. I give him a kiss and sit back up. "I missed you today."
"I did too, so what did you do."
"We had to sprint for thirty minutes without stopping then we did a couple of plays then we did what we would do for a practice then we did a workout."

"Oh babe you must be so tired."
"I am."
"Oh so Tyson came by, he caught Maya in bed with some guy named Peter."
"Wow that must suck."
"Yeah, you need to talk to him."
"Why me?"
"Because he's your friend."
"And?"
"Talk to him."
"Okay, Okay." He says, "I love you babe so much and I'm so grateful for you." He says and kisses me. That's what I needed to here that he appreciates me, I feel so much better, even about him kissing that girl.
"I love you too." I say.

Chapter 6

Family. This is short and sweet, but I hope you like it.

Three years later. Me and Kyle are still married and happy as ever and the babies are doing fine. I love them so much, it's not even funny. Kyle’s grandparents are helping us out with the bills and stuff so we’re good and they’re like millionaires so they give us whatever we need. I’m on my way home from culinary school. I’m going to become a culinary chef. Well I pull into the drive way of Kyle’s grandparents' house. I park and walk inside. I walk into the kitchen and Kaian jumps from her stool and runs into my legs.

"Mommy!" She yells and I pick her up. She likes to help Kyle’s grandmother cook.
"Hi baby girl." I say and kiss her cheek. "Where’s your bother?"
"In the basement with Papa."
"Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah." She says. Kyle has practice so he should be home a little after I get home. I put her down and she runs to get her stuff. I go downstairs and Cam looks up from the car Mitch Kyle’s grandfather is fixing. He has oil all over his face. He’s actually really quiet unless you start talking to him about cars or spider-man or books. He loves to read even though he can’t yet. He runs to me and I pick him up.

"What's all of this?" I say wiping his face.
"I fix the car."
"Really that's so cool, daddy is going to love to hear that." I say excited for him. We go back upstairs and into the kitchen. Kai hands her brother his stuff and they put on their jackets. I help them put on their book bags.
"How were they?"
"She wouldn’t take a nap to save her life but other than that she was excellent. Mr. Man here was amazing but he didn’t want to eat his veggies today."

"Okay, thank you."
"You're welcome." She says and I go and get them and put them in the car. I get in and Kai starts telling me about her day and how she made everyone's lunch. We pull up to the house and I get them out and grab their bags. I open the door for them and they run in and go upstairs. I close and lock the door and go upstairs. I walk upstairs and into their room. Kai’s playing with her cooking set and Cam's playing with his trucks.
"Okay who wants to get in the bath first." I say and they don’t even listen to me. "Nobody?" I say and Cam looks up and walks into the bathroom. He’s sad today. I walk in and start getting him ready to get in the tub.

"What's wrong?"
"Daddy is going to be mad. I didn’t eat my veggies and then I won’t be as big as him."
"If you eat your veggies you are going to get as big as him. And you have some time to get as big as daddy." I say and he smiles. He looks up to Kyle and wants to be just like him. I give him a quick bath and take him out. We have them share a room so they won’t be alone. I get him dressed in spider-man and put on his slippers. He looks just like his dad but with lighter eyes.
"Go tell Kai to come, take her bath and bring her PJs with her." I say and he runs out to his sister. She walks in. She takes a quick bath and I get her towel and take her out. I dry her off and put on her nightgown and brush her hair.

"Okay go get your slippers." I say. Her slippers are so cute they’re like UGS’s but they have a soft bottom and they have fur inside. I put them on her. We walk out.
"Come on you guys mommy has to change." I say and we all walk into my bedroom and they get on my bed and I change into shorts and a tank top. I walk back out and we go downstairs and I smell perfume. I pick Kai up and smell her. She smells like my perfume. "Did you spray my perfume?"

"Yes." She says and puts her head down.
"You can’t play with mommy’s perfume."
"I'm sorry." She says and we go downstairs and I bring them into the kitchen.
"Mommy can I go play." Cam says and I shake my head 'yes'. Kaian stays in the kitchen with me. Cam goes into Kyle’s man cave and starts playing with his toys in there. Kaian puts on her little apron and I start making food. I’m just going to make pasta. I cut up the chicken and prepare it and I let her put the sauce in the pan and put the veggies in the sauce. I hear the door open and close and footsteps.

"Babe." Kyle yells.
"In here." I yell back and he walks in with his shirt filled with sweat. Kaian runs to him and he picks her up.
"I cook with mommy and grandma." I laugh and dinner is ready. He puts her down and he walks over to me and puts his arm around me and kisses me on the lips.
"How was your day?"
"It was good, class was long." He says, he’s getting his degree in medicine he’s going to work in sports medicine. "Where’s mini me?"
"I’m sorry and in your room. " I say and he kisses me again. "Cam daddy’s home." I yell and I hear little feet and he runs into the kitchen and Kyle picks him up.

"How was your day." Kyle says.
"Great." He yells and I laugh, they're so cute.
"Dinner is ready so you go shower and come down." I tell Kyle.
"Okay." He says and puts Cam down and goes upstairs. I put the babies in their high chairs and start making them a little bowl. Ten minutes later he comes down and I put their juice in front of them and they start to eat. I make him a plate and put it on a table and make myself one and sit. He gets up and goes over to the fridge. "Babe Coke or Juice."

"Juice." I say, I have gone down a little I’m almost back to the same size I was, before I got pregnant. He hands me a glass and sits down across from me. We eat and talk. "Oh Cam has something to tell you."
"Oh yeah, I fixed the car with papa."
"Really, good job buddy." Kyle says and he gives Cam a high-five.
"Okay, so daily report they were good today, but Kaian didn’t nap and Cam didn’t eat his veggies."
"Really, what's wrong?"
"I don’t like it." Cam says.

"Well man you got to eat your veggies if you want to grow up and get big and strong." He says and he shakes his head in agreement. Me and Kyle talk and I look over at the little ones and they are falling asleep. It's only seven-thirty. We finish eating and we clean up. I pick up Cam and Kyle picks up Kaian and we take them upstairs. I turn on their nightlight. I close the door and go into my room and get in bed. I’m so tired right now. "Do you have practice tomorrow?"
"No tomorrow is Saturday we don’t school or practice."
"Okay." I say and lie down. He pulls me to him and kisses me.
"Goodnight Cha."
"Goodnight Ky." I say and I fall asleep in his arms.
