My New Life Begins - Chapter 2
It had been two days and I hadn't left the hospital. Not once I wasn't going to leave my mother here by herself no matter what they say. This is MY mum and I'm going to be here when she wakes up no matter what. I had been looking at her lifeless body for about an hour, now when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and came face to face with my best friend Ciara. She has long blonde hair and is very pretty and the only one that I can ever talk to about anything. I called her the morning I had come to the hospital to tell her that I won't be coming to school for a while and to cover for me.
"Hi Ciara", I tried to say as cheerful as possible but I knew I had failed when she ran to give me a hug. "Hey Ally how are you?" She asked trying not to bring up my mum. I smiled and said "I'm okay. I just hope mum is going to be alright. How's school going?" "It's good. Guess what?" She half said half yelled. I laughed while saying "Mhm, I don't know you got a puppy." She smacked my arm and said "No, but at school we have two new guys their names are Justin and..." "Ciara I thought I told you, I don't want another boyfriend so before you go to your match making skills just don't even bother ok?" I cut her off rather annoyed that my best friend wanted to set me up while I was sitting in a hospital where my mum could die any moment. Wait did I say that stop thinking like that Allison she's going to make it she has to.
I didn't know I was crying until Ciara ran up to me and hugged me tight hushing me and wiping my tears. I looked up at my mum and couldn't help but let more tears fall before saying to Ciara "She just has to make it. I don't know what I would do without her. Where will I go. I'm too young to live on my own?" "Don't worry Ally everything will be fine I promise she's going to make it." My best friend said trying to calm me down but it wasn't working and nothing would until my mum woke up. It had been three hours when Ciara had to go home and in no time I feel into a dreamless sleep.
The next morning I woke up to my phone ringing. I looked at the time before answering and saw that it was 5 am who in the world would call me this early. "Hello" I answered sleepily "Hey Ally, sorry for waking you up but is your mom there I tired ringing her phone but she didn't answer" the voice who I recognized as my aunty in New York replied. "Oh hey aunty Sarah um I don't know how to tell you this so in just going to say it mums in the hospital she's in a coma" I replied fearing tears would start pouring from my eyes. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry to hear that sweetie is everything ok? Who's looking after you?" My auntie's alarmed voice rang in my ears "Well um everything's ok but no one's looking after me. I'm staying at the hospital. I'm not leaving mum until she wakes up. It has been 2 days now." I said in a rush hoping she didn't pick up what I said because I could never lie to her. "WHAT? You mean you have been in a hospital for two days, that's it I'm flying there tomorrow and making sure you go to school." She replied rather angry. "Ok aunty I'll see you soon, love you" I sighed and hung up.
What am I going to do? I can't go back to school like this, I mean I'm a mess. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I need to call the girls in for this and with that I said bye to my mum and left the room walking towards the house I haven't been in since the incident.
