My New Friend

I've made a new friend,
Who visits day and night,
He tells me things
That I shouldn't hear;
Like how I'm useless
Stupid and Ugly too.

I call him my enemy,
But that does no good.
I fight with him everyday
And I always loose.
He began to tell me something new,
He tells me it again and again.
How it hurts me each time I hear it
I know that it's a lie
But sometimes I fail,
And think it the truth.

It tells me that I should die,
That the world would be better off with out me.
I'm proud to say,
That I beat it everyday.
