My Never-ending Pain - Chapter 2

Enjoy and comment. Sorry for the long wait, I was sick.
I closed the door as the last of the family members left. I walked into the kitchen it was full with some cold cuts, sandwiches etc. But I wasn't hungry. I walked back into the living room. Empty that's all that it was empty. I laid down in the middle of the room tears spilled from my eyes. I was emotionally and physically tired, I closed my eyes.

The doorbell chimed waking me up from my sleep. I glanced at my wrist watch, I slept for 12 hours. The doorbell chimed again. I got up and opened the door.
"Sienna you had me worried." My aunt's voice said. I only nodded, she looked at me and then brought in a Duffel bag.
"Here are some clothes from Chloe." She handed me it.
"I'm getting dressed for?" I asked.
"The reading of your parents' will."
"Oh that." I squeaked. I grabbed the Duffel bad and headed towards the bathroom. I washed my face, put my hair up into a bun and slipped on the clothes from my cousin.

"Alright I'm ready." I said, my aunt turned around and nodded. I only allowed that my aunt Riley and uncle Jesse to be there for the reading. I was the closest to them. My aunt held my hand walking into the lawyer's office.
"Sienna I'm deeply sorry for your Loss. Please have a seat," we all sat down in front of the lawyer.
"Now do you have any questions or concerns before we get started?" He asked.
"No," my uncle said.
"Alright, let's get to it." I really didn't want to pay attention while the lawyer stated.

"All the money goes to Sienna," he stated. "The house is to be sold, the money from the house goes to Riley and Jesse." My aunt looked confused, the will kept going on and on.

"If anything is to happen to us, Sienna would be in custody of Jesse and Riley." I broke down grabbing a tissue from the box wiping the tears away. I'm moving. I didn't want to leave where I was born and raised. A part of me felt relieved that I no longer have to wake up knowing my parents died here.

****The Next Week****

Today is the day. I thought to myself as I grabbed my clothes. Thanks to my money. My parents aren't lawyers, fashion designers, doctors or anything. My mom was an author best seller, my dad he was a teacher. Today would be the day that I walked out of my life. It was actually crazy that I was headed to Charlotte North Carolina.
"I'm going to miss you." I said as tears ran down my face in front of Gloria, My best friend.
"I'll miss you, visit us when you can." Gloria said hugging me.
"I'll try."

I closed my eyes trying not to picture the road. The road that my family had lost their lives on. I plugged in the headphones listening to Adele's voice. Chloe was reading a romance novel she looked deep into it.

The first time I walked into their house I was in awe that it was big. Now as I walked through those doors it hit me that this would be my new home. I felt like I didn't belong here.
"I'll show you to your room." Chloe said. I was looking around, trying to picture my house. I followed Chloe up the stairs and turned to the right, my room would be at the end of the hallway it was actually the guest room.

"Thanks." I said as Chloe opened the door. I imagined the room yellow cream colored with white furniture, but no it was light green with a picture of my family on the dresser. It did have the white furniture but it wasn't the same there were no stickers, no nail polish on it. It must be new I thought. Up the little stairs to the other side of the room was a desk, a laptop, an iPod and a sofa.

"Do you like it?" Chloe asked, "if you don't we can call the decorator."
"No it's perfect. Thanks, who picked this stuff out?" I asked.
"Me and my mom," she answered.
"Tell her thank you."
"Will do," with that said, she left closing the door behind her. I went to the closet where it was filled with some more clothes. Something weird caught my eye. I grabbed the green skirt with the matching blazer jacket. Charlotte Country Day School with its logo. I knew that it was the school uniforms. My uncle was the Dean of the school.

"Do you like the room dear?" My aunt asked me at the dinner table.
"Yeah it's beautiful thank you." I said, nobody talked after that. All that was heard was the clinging of the plates.

"Sienna?" Answered a sleepy voice.
"Yeah it's me, sorry for waking you up. But I needed someone to talk to."
"I'm glad you called. What's the matter?"
"It's quite over here. Like they're tiptoeing around me."
"Sienna, you know they're going through the same thing." Gloria protested. I knew she was right and I was grateful for that.
"I just didn't expect it like this." I replied. Gloria stayed quiet on the other end.
"Give it some time," she answered.
I stared at the picture that was on the dresser. My chest tightened, my throat constricted, a tear managed to slide down my cheek.

"Sienna you ready?" A muffled voice on the other side of the door, I opened the door.
"I take that as a no." Chloe examined my look "C'mon," she grabbed my arm and entered my closet pulling the uniform.
"Take a quick shower. Don't want to be late your first day," she smiled at me.

"We're here." Chloe smiled at the building. I groaned, no way was I coming here.
