My Mother's Killer - Ch. 19
Marie Sinclair was 7 when her mother was killed in front of her. From that moment on she planned her life around revenge. Little does she know life has a plan all its own.

I then sent ten men to Hainault; Hainault is known for their warriors. The men there are built and show no fear. Lymbergh is known for their minds, it is a town of knowledge any man or women that we can requite will help us in the strategy of battle; so I sent ten men there as well. I sent eight men to go to LaClair and the surrounding villages to round up as many men as possible; I knew Michael's brother Robert would fight for us. I sent the remaining men to get supplies and arrows before we left for Ravenser the Blacksmith town. My father was born there; it was the closest town to the castle and we would find all the weapons we needed there. As soon as the men finished getting the supplies we headed north towards Ravenser. As we neared Ravenser I could smell sot and ashes; the smell began to make my eyes water.
Thoughts of my father in his shop came flashing back. "Attack!" a raspy voice shouted from the tree line. My memories quickly vanished as I looked to the tree line; twenty men in black armor raising their swords rushed towards us. Terror began to form on my men's faces as they stepped back. "Abby take out as many as you can, I'll take them out as they get closer," I shouted as I rushed to the front of my men. Abby's shots were precise as she quickly took out two men. The arrows pierced straight threw their necks. Finally the other archers came out of their daze and began shooting arrows into the tree line; fear had taken over them as each arrow missed. I thanked god Abby was on my side as three more men fell from the swift impact of her arrows.
That left fifteen more men and they were closing in. I nudged Nobel and we raced towards them; as I drew closer I began to slash down and dart away; I took out two more men and sliced the hand of another. Nobel jumped to the side and we turned around heading towards two stragglers that were now away from the group. As I inched closer to the first man I trusted my sword as hard as I could into his chest; I pushed so hard I struggled to pull it out. My father had always told me the flaw to armor; the weak spot is under the arm. The other soldier tried to rush me but Nobel quickly turned and knocked him to the ground, dazing him. I took this opportunity and jabbed piercing his weak spot. I glanced around seeing that the remaining thirteen men reaching my men; most of which were servants of Lady Constance.
The sound of blades clashing began to ring in my ear. I rushed to their aid piercing as men as I could however this time I was out numbered and three men knocked me of Nobel. I whistled quickly and Nobel darted into a clearing waiting for my call. I slashed at the three soldiers ankles; cutting on of their Achilles Tendons; another weak spot my father showed me. While I raised and the three men fell I twisted my body around slashing all three. Killing one; then I pierced their weak spots while they were still dazed. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Abby on the ground with a soldier above her; he made one mistake, he wasn't wearing a helmet. I reached down to my ankle grabbing my father's dagger and threw it as hard as I could. It spun threw the air almost in slow motion until it reached the back of the soldiers head, piercing his skull.
His body went limp as he fell to the floor; Abby looked over at me only for a second, almost to say thanks. She quickly got up and aimed her bow right at me, I couldn't even think before she let go. Her arrow was fast and I could feel the wind as is barley missed my face. I heard a thud and turned around to see that it went straight threw a soldiers neck. Before I could turn around, I could hear the men cheering. I whistled for Nobel and in an instant he was there; I quickly got on him and headed towards my men. We lost four of Constance's Servants in the battle. "Paul and Simon quickly bury these men we need to travel fast.
I heard the gurgle of on of Black Richard's men; I jumped of Nobel and reached down twisting the arrow that had pierced his skin. He shrieked in pain, "Where is Richard," I snarled. The man spit in my face, "Stupid girl, you expect to take on his army, ha he has thousands of men you will only have hundreds," he said chocking on his own blood. I twisted the arrow from side to side, "Ok, he's in Mashendver preparing to take over the Castle," he whimpered. "And his son Thomas!" I shouted as I pushed the arrow deeper. "Ahhhhhh he's there with him he hasn't left his side, Richard won't let him go on missions like us." He said as his face turned pale, "Please end my misery." I quickly pulled out the arrow and his blood pored out within seconds he was dead.
